I was wouldering if I should buy a LD mask. Any ideas on weather or not Ishould, and where could I buy one? Thanks!

They can cost a substantial amount of money only to achieve something you could have done for free.

Although they can be useful, they are by no means neccesary.

No opinion I don't have the money for one so I wouldnt know.

Personally, I am not convinced by dream masks' effectiveness, for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it has been proven that the brain does not respond to external stimuli most of the time during sleep. Occasionally, people will hear a sound in real life and it will be incorporated into their dream, but only very rarely. I doubt that the light stimuli will be able to incorporate into the dream - and if it is picked up, I think it would be more likely you would just be woken up. I think it's very possible that people buy the mask, and flashing is incorporated into their dreams because they are expecting it.

Anyway, that's just my opinion, and I could definitely be wrong. Still, I think normal techniques work just as well.

I hardly doubt that these actually work, it looks like a placebo effect.

I hope you are kidding. This is out of context entirely. It's from http://cre.ations.net/creation/face-...-dreaming-mask, and it's a joke inserted by the author into his tutorial.

Personally, I think that buying one is probably not a great idea, when plans to build one yourself for far less money are available all over the internets. EWLD has a section on the NovaDreamer, which interested parties might like to read.
