I take my inner energy, and shoot it at the ground, therefore boosting me upwards.
What if I told you that I am dreaming right now?
That your whole life is a lie?
That the laws of physics as you know them are incorrect?

Furthermore, what would you do if I told you I'm going to wake up as soon as you finish reading my signature?

Try floating first. Just imagine yourself up off the ground like a bubble.

..maybe pretend you have a jetpack or some wings hooked on to your back. I did that once and it worked ok.

Don't forget to laugh at yourself the morning after....

I had a recent experience with being unable to fly in an LD.

I was jumping around and nothing worked. Suddenly I was struck with a memory of the matrix quote, "there is no spoon". After that, I took off. Basically I told myself that nothing was real and then it worked.

Unfortunately I lost the dream right after, and it was only a 20 second experience to begin with. Still, I woke up with a grin due to the fact that I had remembered the matrix while in my dream.

Some perfect words right there My first flight experience is in my dream journal floating around in the DREAM JOURNAL FORUM if you'd like to give it a glance. I didn't do any work it just happened. Of course I've had several other flight dreams, and i can say this much. Some of them you have to have a wild imagination to procure I started shouting "I had an epiphany!" while rejoicing.

You have to know that you can do it in order to do it so here's the best thing to do:

the best thing to do is smile? i have never had dreams where i fly, physics applies to all my dreams, i do think i have a mental block against flying, next LD i get ive already determined that im not gonna give up trying to fly till i get it, cause my past LD's i try a couple of times but then think o well i guess i cant, so i do something else instead to test out my powers

You have to actually believe that you can fly. If you dont believe it, then its obviously not going to happen. Just know that you can b/c its your dream and you will.

Try this if you havent already: get a running start and take off off of one one foot knowing that you're gonna fly; a running start seems to help out a lot when i comes to flying. Thats what I did my first (and best) time flying.

btw, I went a lot faster than I intended and couldnt really control it, so keep that in mind if you do this.

In the few lucid dreams I've had I've never been able to fly, I'll definitely try some of these. They need to gain quality for that to be easier for me though.

yes cause the techniques i have tried is i tried a running start and that didnt work so i tried just taking off like hancock and that didnt work either, then i decided to make a glass of sweet tea appear since i couldnt fly, i was surprisingly good at summoning objects and animals and also at closing my eyes and changing the scene where i was... disappointingly enough every time i tried to make a pretty girl appear she always walked out of a door not looking the way i wanted her to

When I first started flying I had to flap my arms like a bird. I found It very hard at first. I just started telling myself that this is a dream and I can do what I want. It was when I started believing that I could that it started getting easier. Try gliding off a house or run down a hill and try to take off. The more you really try, the easier it will get, I promise. Just tell yourself that "this is a dream and I can do what I want." You know whats hard? Carrying someone while your flying!
