Do you feel pain in your dreams?

I was talking to a friend about dreams, and he said he often gets dreams where he experiences a lot of physical pain, like the kind you get when you fall on your face or get burned or get punched. It's funny, because I never feel that kind of pain, although I often feel other pain-type emotions like fear, embarrassment, and sadness. I even remember a recent mini-nightmare in whice I put my hand on a windowsill and the window slammed on my hand. I jerked awake, but it didn't hurt. What about you guys, do you ever feel that kind of physical pain in your sleep or not?

I don't feel so much physical pain in dreams as in real life, although I can feel if it's a wind near me, or if the place is cold or heat.

I am not sure why physical pain in dreams is rare. Do anyone have any idea about that?

I don't always intensely feel physical pain, but do sometimes. I remember the other week in one of my dreams a snake chased me, and I reached down to grab it from behind the head but didn't get it close enough and it curled back around and chomped down pretty hard on my hand... so much so that when I awoke it took me a few minutes to realize I had not really been bitten. I kept checking my hand because I was sure I was going to find my hand cut open from the bite.

Well for the first time ever, I felt pain 2 nights ago. It's in the 'Peeling Skin' topic... *shudders*. I hope I don't ever get my arm ripped off or something, I can't imagine how much pain you can actually free in a dream

I've felt pain....
i dream some one broke my legs ....i was about 8 i woe up with brusises
other things like that have happened

I don't think I've ever felt pain in my dreams... whenever I'm gonna get hurt I seem to wake up.

I feel pain in my dreams all the time. Pretty much anytime I am being physically hurt in my dream I feel it. I had one dream where I was fighting in the UFC and some guy had me in this move where it was crushing my ribs and I could remember it hurting a lot inside my dream. And when I woke up my ribs were sore for about an hour or two. Another dream I got shot in my stomach and I could feel it burn real bad.

A resounding yes from Identity X, (if you recall my 'All Dreams Since Dawn Of Recall' topic, see 'Inflatable Belt' or 'Mum's Wedding' can't remember which title I used) but I had stomach cramps when I woke up, so I expect it was just the dreams attempt to integrate this into the dream.

I swear i've replied to sooo many topics like these that i somehow lose the amibition to type out my experience -_-
