      I Don't Understand Sex Dreams

So, I'm not having a go at anyone here, just venting and looking for explanation.

I'm quite prudish. My sex dreams quite regularly degenerate into a discussion with beautiful women on the ethics of using my control of the dream to try to have sex with them. The method I have worked out for doing this if I do is to project friendliness and openness and talk them into it.

Thing is, dreams to me are amazing opportunities to grow and learn. If I want to get the endorphin rush associated with sexual stimulation, I'll just masturbate.

Sex dreams just seems like a waste, talking about them just seems like talking about masturbation.

I don't get it. Whats the draw? Why does it end up being discussed so much?

Sure, it may be the the same physical sensation, but being able to actually see everything as it happens to you is quite different that anything that can be achieved during real life masturbation.

This is the way I see it when it comes to self pleasure.
No visual stimuli? Grab a magazine or something. Pictures don't move? Watch a video you silly ninny. Not the same as you controlling the actions? Go get some sort of Japanese sex doll. And even that isn't the same as doing it with a real person? Well then, you have two choices now (excluding ones that deal with real people and therefor are different from masturbation)... Wait countless years and save countless dollars for lifelike, animatronic, somewhat creepy sex dolls, or spend nothing but a bit of free time on practicing lucid dreaming, then you can have your control, your visual stimuli, your movement, and your pleasure. Thank you and goodnight.
      reality check. etc...

I suppose because it happens so much.

Many people, perhaps even a majority of people, report feeling that their sexual urges are much stronger while dreaming. For example, I do not consider myself an overly sexual person in waking life, but when I am lucid, my hormones just sort of take control: If I see even a moderately attractive DC, I usually find it very hard to resist having sex with her. I do try to resist the urge when I can, however, because I agree with you about sex dreams not being very productive or meaningful. But it takes a lot of willpower, and I fail probably half of the time.

Because people see things like this and this so it gets them going

I also think that dreams are such an amazing oppurtunity to grow and learn, but sometimes I find that my hormones just don't care about that.
