      Im oh so confused... help?

      Hi everyone,
I cannot really say I'm new as I joined a while ago, but this is my first post. I joined, like many people, because the thought of lucid dreaming got me interested. Yet at the moment I'm still confused about normal dreams in general. See sometimes I'll have a dream where I'm me, and I act and react to sitiations the way I would in the real world, but things aren't in real time. It's like I just have flashs of the dream, but not kinda like I could actually stop in the dream and just stand there for a few seconds... do you know what I mean. It's like my dreams are films, and I'm just watching them from afar. I fantasize of being able to dream in real-time, controlling everything (like you see people do in the movies). Is that possible? Is that what Lucid Dreaming is?
Sorry this post has been long, I guess I have a lot of questions, Thank you for taking the time to read it, please if you think you have some answers feel free to talk
p.s. I have read all the info in the home page etc, but that was a little while ago

Even if you're somewhat not new, I can still you!!

      To answer your question; No.

Control is something you can do in an LD. But that's not the real definition. A Lucid dream is to be consciously aware of the dream state. You can be Lucid with total control, or Lucid with no control at all.

To be aware of the dream state = Lucid Dreaming.

I hope this helped you. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask them.

I kinda understand what your saying and about the part where u say u do the same things normally like in real life i think thats because
your mind is basically making up the same things u would do because its your mind or it could do that because its easier and u can sleep easier im not sure but yeh i think thats why alot of people dont remember there dreams and say they didnt dream because everyone dreams everynight just maybe its sooo like real life u dont even bother remembering you know =]
well best of luck to you on dreaming
