      Unhappy Affraid of WILD

So I would like to try out WILD
But many people say that's it's very scary..
Like having demons and distorted creatures touching you when you have sleep paralysis, and hearing sounds like screeching metal..

When I try to WILD now immediatly when I hear something like someone coughing in another room, I get a burst of fear..

How can I WILD peacefully? Without having fear of demons and dark creatures and other hallucinations?

      Help appreciated !

Not everyone sees and hears frightening things.
If you do though, you just have to keep telling yourself they cant hurt you.

I would relate it to a haunted house.
All the noises and images are fake and cannot harm you in anyway.
Once you realize this most people just go with it and enjoy the ride.
Just keep your eye on the prize I suppose.

      So, is it enjoyable?
Can you have nice hallucinations and sounds like girls making orgasm sounds?
Okok sorry, I'm just trying to stay positive, because when it comes down to it the stories of demons and stuff frightens me

Lol those are exceptions, usually the WILD process is very enjoyable.. the hallucinations are what you want them to be btw.. if you think about girls all the time before sleeping, you will see girls flashing before your eyes ^^

I see thanks, that helps, now I'm pretty confident to try it, since it's well worth the effort

I hear frightening things now. Just started recently. It's hard to get used to but its nothing to be scared over. You're right, its well worth it.

People breathing close by (I think it may be myself breathing automatically, but I'm just noticing the noise), people saying my name (hundreds), a small dog barking, wind, the sound of silence (yes, I can hear the silence when I'm being pulled in).

Like Fanactism said above, SP is only as frightening as you make it. If you're afraid that something is going to hurt you, then you will begin to see/hear negative things. If you just cruise along through it, then you most likely, wont see anything negative like I dont. I suppose you could alter Hypnagogia and auditory hallucinations into that of which you wanted but Ive never done it. I just try to cruise along through it and wait for my dream to appear.
And like Chayba said, you will eventually see whatever you're thinking about whenever you're WILDing.

But how can you not think of it when you're scared of it?

Yep. You haven't tried it yet, have you? Go try it (preferably WBTB since you're starting out). And if you get scared remember all you have to do is move any part of your body and everything will go away. Of course you'll waste a night too...

I don't need the WBTB technique, since I was able to naturally DEILD without problems, and my mind is very complex, if I say I want to wake up after a dream I do wake up. It's just the fear, but I noticed that when I'm angry I don't feel any fear at all, because I'd probably want to crush them anyway.

You wont think of it once you realize that there's nothing to be afraid of. You just have to practice it, and go through SP a lot to get used to it. Then you'll see that you've been psyching yourself out of it by psyching yourself to see scary things.
But dont be ashamed, we were all afraid of SP at some point in ours lives. The only advantage I had is experiencing it when I was young at 11, therefore I got used to it and then over it.
So you should continue to practice WILDing w/ the above info in your head and each time you go through it, you will notice that it becomes less and less frightening to the point where its not frightening at all.
