Exclamation False Awakening While Attempting a WILD?

A couple nights ago, I woke up randomly at around 6:30 in the morning to go to the bathroom. Wanting to make an effort to LD, I decided to give WILDing another shot. (I always fall asleep really fast and easily when trying to WILD.) I laid down on my back, arms by my sides and legs straight. I closed my eyes, kept perfectly still, and cleared my mind of all thoughts. As usual though, I didn't experience any of the typical WILDing symptoms like shaking, crazy eye twitches, or anything like that, instead everything just went black. The next thing I remember is being in bed again, except my body was in a completely different position. I still didn't move though, scared I would somehow ruin the WILD. After another blackout, I strangely found myself in the same straight position I was when I first attempted the WILDing. This pattern repeated itself once more until I finally fell into a dream, I think. So was this a false awakening? If so, is this common to have when WILDing? How can I use this to my advantage if I'm not supposed to move while WILDing?

You nailed it. This sounds like a series of FAs. FAs are very common with WILD. Many people always have FAs when they WILD. Since you don't want to move and spoil the WILD in case it isn't a FA, I suggest a RC that dosen't take much movement. Try biteing your lip. If you are dreaming it should be very easy to bite all they way through. You can hold your breath. Do this for longer than is comfortable. Eventually (if you are dreaming) you should feel your lungs filling with air. I suggest always doing two diffrent RCs, that way if one dosen't work right, the other should.
