      Dejavoo?

I've been curious about it all along, just never really brought up the question. If there is already another post on this, i apologize. But what exactly is it? Is it technically like predicting the future in your dreams? Or playing the most likely scenarios to occur in the future?

Deja vu is just where you are experiencing something for the first time, but the event feels really familiar, like it's happened before. I don't think it's just limited to dreams either, since it happens in real life also.

i have never experienced that kind of thing in a dream. Deja Vu only happens to me in real life, at random moments, you'll just feel like the same exact moment took place in the past. and it then i usually get really confused.

A déjà vu is just a glitch in the Matrix. Nothing to worry about. J/k

      http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=63198 lol, no problem.

But this happens a lot of times and can mean a lot of different things. Do you dream about something that ends up happening in RL? Or do you experience déjà vu in a dream (e.g.: having the same dream more than once, even ones from a long time ago)?

hahaha I was gonna write the "glitch in the matrix" line, too

I'm guessing you're talking about deja vu in which both "scenarios" occur in the dream. If you mean in real life there are scientific explanations, and if you mean dream-RL scenarios... well then I can only direct you to Beyond Dreaming.

In my experience and opinion, deja vu in dreams has a sort of simple explanation. You know how with dream control, if you 100% firmly believe in your ability to do something and you imagine it, it will appear? I often have deja vu in dreams as I am remembering having done something. I don't think it's so much that something happens twice, or something seems like it's happened before, but that you access your memory WHILE in a dream, which instantly causes that scenario to reappear. Why I can do this easily in non-lucids (never tried in a LD) but my dream control is not nearly as good I can't explain. I guess it's similar to how people can fly without a problem in non-lucids, but have trouble doing it in lucids. Or maybe "dream" memory is different from "real" memory, which is why it's so hard to remember your lucid tasks but not to cause dreams to repeat. Ah, yet another aspect of lucid dreaming I wish we had some scientific evidence/explanation of!

Anyway, that theory of mine covers every aspect of dream deja vu that I can recall. I'm interested to hear what other people think, though!
