I joined Dream Views back in June when I found out that the 'weird dreams' I had been having were Lucid Dreams (more specifically WILDs) and I wanted to learn more about them. So I was on and off the site reading a few things here and there but nothing really that stuck with me. Well ever since I figured out what my dreams were, I had been thinking, 'I'm going to have to try and control it like these people do.'
However, every time I'd fall into a WILD, it would be at random (because they just kind of happen, I don't try) and I would be thinking, 'shit I don't want to do this now! I want to sleep!' So I'd try to wake myself up and I would succeed rather quickly.
It seems, though, that my WILDs have been happening more frequently and it's becoming more and more difficult to pull myself out of them. The other night was pretty scary for me. I realized I was having a WILD, and started to try and wake myself up. I flailed my arms around and tried to open my eyes as I normally do, and kept flailing and moving, then my body had this massive jolt of pain. I felt it everywhere.
So after it stopped, I started trying harder to wake myself up. After a few more minutes I finally screamed, 'WAKE UP' and that caused my entire body to feel like a was being stabbed repeatedly with several knives. I finally woke myself up, after falling off my bed (in my dream) and talking to two random girls I didn't know.
It really freaked me out.
I was looking through here to try and find something to help, but there are so many topics and so much information. I wanted to know if feeling random extreme pain is normal while LDing? I sure hope so.
I just think I need to learn how to control it as a whole, but this site is kind of overwhelming. Any advice, help, pointing in the right direction would be appreciated.
