And with that, I don't mean, how do you make yourself fly, in dreams. |

My flight doesn't require a particular motion; I just go where I want to go. |
Kinda like Superman I guess usually, but I'm quite often wary of falling, and then of course I do sometimes! Don't seem to be able to get very high up (ie outer space) but high enough for my needs right now, probably to do with the fear of falling. But yeh Superman, it just kinda happens, I'm just like "I'm gonna fly now" and then I just do really without much thought, that's about the only thing I'm pretty good at controlling in my dreams! |

wut i do is not breath first. then I float up in the air. once im there, i put my arms to my sides, and i just sort of go |

It varies. In my lucid dream recently, I had to kinda swim to fly, but just one stroke got me pretty far. Sometimes in normal dreams I just fly where I want. Sometimes it's like I have some sort of helium or something in me that I control that makes me go higher or lower. |
I always used to use the swimming technique just to gain altitude if i had |

Dream A Little Dream Of Me
Same here. No momentum or flapping required, I just will myself off the ground and all around. However, I usually find that I tend to lean into the direction that I am flying, and if I am flying very fast I might even be completely horizontal. In those instances I will often put out my arms in a "superman" style to get the full experience |
I just think about flying and the next thing I know I am shooting through the air like a bullet. Sometimes when I have trouble I have to change it up, like do breaststroke or wiggle my body like a dolphin does. |
I began flying as an extension of the running leap. Then as I got older it turned into a swimming motion (probably because I spent so much time swimming as a kid in CA). Eventually I added a rope-climbing motion to help me get higher when swimming like the dickens didn't quite cut it. Now I mostly just want to fly and then I'm doing it -- zooming without using any symbolic motion. |

I swim to fly. |
I jump and tense my leg muscles. I don't really move anything when I'm flying. |
90% of the time I'll swim through the air using breastroke method.. the other 10% I'll Just look where I want to go to and then I'll be taken there. I've tried the superman method before but I dont seem to get much acceleration. |
The swimming while flying is the start of learning to really fly. |
I don't have a sense of my bodies position. |
I too swim. No other method works for me, but swimming does quite well. |
Swimming tends to work because we associated flying to swimming, we "float" in water and can use our hands to swim through it. That's why it is easy to start with. For the few of us that hang glide or sky dive that is easy too, it's all about what we already know. |
See all I do is probably have that feeling of flight inside of me while dreaming and then I start to fly but don't notice until like minutes into flying. I wonder myslef how to fly int my dreams as well. That's my main thing that I always wanted to do is to fly in my dreams(consciously) and have fun doing so. |

i just will myself to fly most of the time, or imagined the ground moving the oppisite direction |
I personally jump and flap my arms like a chicken a couple of times then I start hovering. If I want to go higher I flap my arms again, if I want to turn directions I lean my body the way I want to go. |
