      On the right path?

I'm fairly new to lucid dreaming. I think I'm making progress, as I can now tell that I am dreaming just as the dream ends. It doesn't end because I figured it out, like some people have described. I think, "wait, this is a dream" right as the dream starts to fade and my logical brain wakes up. I was wondering if I'm on the right track, and if I should soon be able to have a real lucid dream? Any thoughts?

It happens as you are near to waking up. You did it by using any techs or just by itself? I had to use techs to get what you have so either way it's progress! Now you should upgrade to the next level on prolonging the dream by getting to know the techs and practising them out in waking life. Like after every RC you do..rub you hands or when your alone..SPIN!

Congratulations! Recognizing the sensation of a dream ending is a big step toward some serious lucidity!

I suggest checking out the DEILD tutorial, as DEILD is the prefect technique for someone who is able to recognize a dream is ending.

An important thing to do when you realize you're dreaming is to relax.
