      Dry Spells...

I was going to post this thread earlier, but i forgot.
I and many others have been expiriencing "DRY SPELLS"...
can anyone comment on this, and suggest what can be done to end these?
any useful information that i can apply would be extrEEMly helpful.

      cheers

Getting pissed or sad is the last thing you should do..
Be optimistic, expect your dreams, tell yourself you will remember them, this seems to work according to sources, like i said, i dont really have dry spells, only in periods of stress perhaps.. but I dont stress easily..

i know, i know, thanks man, i just had to let it out there, or else i would have "bottled it up"...hopefully tonight i should at least dream, i dont even mind if its lucid or not, just to have a dream...it been days.

Call it 'womens intuition', but I think I'm on to something here.

I'm in a dry spell also and its soo annoying. I am so ready to start Lding aagain!

I find when I have a dry spell I think about dreaming too much and so it bothers me more when it doesn't happen.
I think the best advice is to relax and not worry about having a dream when you go to sleep. Eventually you'll go back into the flow of having a bunch and a day and you'll be ready to go lucid again.

Well if anyone read about my strange dry spell of still waking up but not recalling...I'm happy to say that this only lasted 3 nights and has been gone ever since the seventh! Just something that happens I guess, I don't really do anything to evoke changes... but like Lucius said, I just don't let it get to me. Once you've experienced a rut, next time you'll know to not give it any thought.

      on about day #9.
Strange thing is, my dream recall is at an alltime high, they are vivid and varied, but no lucidity.

Last night dreamed of everything from trying to stimlate shrimp growth by applying 120V (didn't work, they caught on fire), to one of my best friends undergoing a sex change)

After each dream, I sit and ponder all of the inconsistancies that should have triggered lucidity, but no luck.

Well, at least my dreams are entertaining!

      That made me laugh.

I'm in a terrible dry spell right now. It's funny, just a couple weeks ago I thought I was really starting to get the hang of things, and now for almost a week straight I can't remember squat from my dreams.

Chin up buddy! I am on day 10, but feel like I am just a few days away from being able to WILD.

I have been making progress. The most important thing I've learned to far is to stop being tense while attempting to WILD.

three or less dreams a night counts as a dry spell for me though.

Usually when I'm lucid in one dream, I'm lucid in the rest (well, maybe not the first).

MY DRY SPELL IS OVER and now i am working at regaining lucidity...

when assessing my dry spell, i noticed that i was severely depressed the last 2 weeks, more than i have ever been in my whole life, and i never get depressed, i am generally a happy person...
well anyway, i am currently studying Psychology, and there is a pattern of depressed patients and low seratonin levels.

And because seratonin plays a major factor in the area of sleep and dreams, therefore my dream occurance and recall were at an all time low.

now i am a happy *muffiun* and back up on my two feet

      cheers.
