      DEILD or WILD??

I had two back to back lucid dreams the other night.
The first one was my first 'ever' DILD in 22 years! I
always WILD. There have been times when I were
dreaming that I knew I was dreaming, but I think
I just hadn't realized I could go lucid in one of those.
Now that I know, it happened! I realized in the dream
I was having, that I was dreaming, and so I just went
      lucid...purposely.
I didn't hold it for long though and woke up. At this
point I looked at my clock on the table because it
was right in front of me and realized I had been asleep
for at least two hrs before I had this dream. I didn't
move a muscle and thought I'd try to go back lucid.
I did almost right away! I felt the SP begin again and
then just pushed out of my body. The way I always
WILD. I began this LD right from my bedroom and
floated around in there for a bit before trying this
      months tasks.
What I'm wondering though, is if that one were a WILD
or a DEILD?? When I woke up the first time, I know I
was awake. In no way was I still dreaming. Only about
3-5 minutes went by before I slipped back into another
LD. So because I was awake in between, I think it was
a WILD. I did not continue on with the other dream I had
      just exited.
      WILD or DEILD??

I think DEILD. Which as far as I understand it is a special WILD where you deliberately
don't move when waking up so you can fall back into SP/dream very quickly.

Funny about your DILD. To date its the only way I've ever done it.

(Though my sig says total 5, thats just for my current attempt at lucid dreaming.
I did have a bash at it back in 06, and 03 before, but it tapered off when life got in the way. As it does. Prior to that I had a lot of lucids at University, which was where I learned what they were called by reading a psychology text).
      Lucid Dreams:-
      MILD/DILD: 79
      WILD: 13
      DEILD:13
      (TOTAL: 108 )

I think it's because I never knew I could go lucid in a dream when
realizing I was dreaming, so I just never tried it. In DV is where I
first heard of it, and so now I've done it...so far only one but I'm
hoping to have more now that I've been enlightened.
I can remember many times in dreams thinking...I know this is a
dream, but I always just let the dream progress normally and it
just never occurred to me to make it lucid lol Weird huh? It was
so easy to do with that dream the other night. But last night
I woke up like 4 times because I have a cold. One of these times
I remembered the dream I had just had, and I bummed because
I should have realized it was a dream because in it, a few weird
things happened, but the logical part of my brain just didn't turn
on for that dream. Also, the other times I woke up I totally couldn't
remember the dreams before-hand, so I was completely out of REM
sleep. I did try to have a WILD after these times but I didn't pop
right back into REM sleep again right away and so I just fell back to
sleep. Things don't always work just because you're thinking about
it. I don't think the REM mask would work for me either because
I think I'd probably just believe the light was part of the dream.
Another thing I don't get, is how some of you know when to set
an alarm to go off....how do you know what time you'd be in REM
      sleep??
Also, the other night when I had the DILD, I woke up a little
too soon while lucid, I woke up real quick, just like that. So
I didn't have time to do a technique to stay in it. But I was
able to re-enter a LD right away because I was still in REM
sleep. When I woke up I can't remember feeling SP either,
but 'maybe'....since I didn't move, but I did feel SP coming back
      again once I tried to.
Once I lose hold of an LD, I can't always re-enter though.
So tough to explain this stuff! lol
