Sorry to hear about ur bad luck mate!! im still only an amateur in the world of lucidity so i would listen to what everyone eles has to say, but, my opinion is that all these failures are down to ur subconsious. humans are self destructive by nature and in our dreams i think we are affected by this more. we want to do something so much that we ruin it for ourselves. EG. some one tells u that if u think of a cat u will die, whats the first thing that pops to your mind, for most a cat. its the same in the dream world, u wanna fly and u know its possible as there your dreams but there is that lil voice in the back of your head that spoils it for u. |

You saved the cheerleader. So we could save the world. x
I used to have a similar problem when I was between 8-16 or so (guessing) sometimes I could fly and sometimes I couldn't I always had to try and do a run up then jump to try and fly, sometimes it would fail spectacularly or I'd just jump really far which was a bit frustrating, I don't bother much with the flying anymore. |

Thank you for the inspiration. I know I'll keep trying its just that I've been trying for so 6 some odd years. I knew about the profile thing, its just that I wanted to get my idea out quickly so that I could get a response earlier, hopefully before I go to sleep. I've seen a lot of good methods and ideas here so I'm going to try them tonight. Wish me luck and good luck to you |

How you going mate? You're not doing anything wrong as far as i'm concerned. This is something that, in my experience anyway, will happen a lot more randomly than under control. The only success i've ever had with attaining a ld through means of control is through positive reinforcement before I go to sleep, and even then that's pretty rare. Remember too, that a ld doesn't have to mean flying or superpowers or anything extravagant, it is the reality that you are after. It could be the most mundane thing ever - but it will stay with you for life. Best of luck mate. |

The problem is faith. The dreamer has to believe as though it's real, not just ok I'm gonna be ironman. You ARE ironman! Also another problem is reason belief. As with reality there has to be cause and effect, it's easier when you have a logical reason, one that you are familiar with to control dream elements. Like making someone appaear, you could use a TV remote to do it. |

one reason may be that your subconscious is sort of trying to tell you something, like when you are not lucid and you cant run properly and feel like your in glue its kind of telling you you feel stuck in life, maybe it is telling you not to desire so much from the lucid dreaming, maybe try to appreciate the fact that you can do it at all, im not having a go or anything just putting out ideas, only from personal experience, with flying ive found when i force it it barely ever happens, but if i relax and let go and just gently think upwards i feel like im swept up by something else like a leave in the wind, then after this if i want to i have more control but tend not to take too much controll. i think you have got to take what you are given in a lucid dream, treat it like you have stepped into another world, with walking through walls sometimes i ram into them, try to force throught them, it doesnt work, then i gently lean and it sucks me through, i think dreams are more alive than we think, it may just be us, but it is still alive as us if that makes sense. |
