      Falling sensation.

I woke up at 6:30 AM this morning (I always wake up at completely random times during the night, It comforts me since I don't have to set an alarm or anything if I want to try a FILD, MILD or w/e.)

Well I tried to FILD with Hargarts method but everytime I almost felt asleep I got so excited by the thought of having a LD that I woke up. I was almost certain I would get a LD if I would fall asleep since I remembered my last dream and I was trying to get back into it, I also tapped my fingers and thought about doing a RC after about 30 seconds. Anyway I couldn't fall asleep for about an hour when I gave up and ofcourse fell asleep almost instantly.

Now my question is, when I was trying to FILD I felt this weird falling sensation, like I fell through my bed. Is this normal? I woke up from the excitement and did a RC as soon as possible only to find out I was still awake.

I have not updated it for a while but this is a technique I use for WILD. The falling sensation is a very key part to it, have a read

Thanks for the tip. I´ve read your turtorial and I´m willing to give it a try.
I was wondering though, do you get in SP with your technique? I've heard a lot of scary/bizarre stories about SP and I'm not sure if I want to experience that.

What do you mean with "landing yourself"?

      Thanks again

You hit SP last night with the 'falling sensation' you had. That is SP... So nothing to be worried about.

As for landing, I wait for the falling sensations to get quite strong, then I know I am pretty much there to be lucid, so try visualise the dream, and land in it. Hard to explain really.

Ok well I think I get what you mean.

As for the SP, the falling sensation suprised me that much that I immediatly 'woke up'.
Im just a bit afraid that I'll see/hear things, I used to have night terrors as a kid but the fear never fully went away.

Anyway thanks for your help. I realize there is nothing to be afraid of

So as long as you can wait out the falling sensations, you can WILD??? Is that it?

Pretty much yes! To be honest the falling sensations for me are only for about a minute or so. At least that is what it seems. Just depends how well you can land them. Sometimes I miss and have to start again.
