if all the lucid dreams could continue off of eachother and I'd have full control, I don't think I'd get bored very quickly. It would be like a second life!

Actually, dreams are such a dynamic experience (other than dream signs, the story line seems to be reallllllly random for me). I'm pretty sure it'd be randomly entertaining the whole time. Eventually I'd get bored of the randomness and want to wake up, probably after a month.

Like everything else, I'd burst the first few days of LDs with intense possibilities, like flying, fighting, summoning and all... Then the passion is dead after a week or two. But we never know. Maybe we would all act like seeker28 if it really happens.

There are times when I lucid dream in a night, where I wish I could actually just sleep normally. There are these annoying times where you're just constantly aware, and all I want to do is sleep, and at the time it does feel mentally draining and like I am not actually resting, although I know I am sleeping.

So for me, I like to know I am just sleeping without being lucid.

Thanks, ladies and gentlemen, for your thoughts on the matter. You've given me some good ideas for where to take the main character in my story.

To be honest, even though my main character regrets the choice she makes of being constantly lucid (having a rather unpleasant villain and a deteriorating social life will do that), I'd probably make the same choice as her. It would be quite the opportunity to live out some of the other stories I'm writing, along with other things.

Do YOU get bored of REAL life?
No, of course not! Until you get uncreative or tired of drawing on the infinite experiences that you can have lucid dreaming, until you become a boring person yourself, you won't get bored!

I get bored of real life easily most of the time, particularly when I am 'trapped'. Often when I have responsibilities and I am unable to do the things I want to do. Whether it's because of weather, lack of funds, lack of transportation, lack of company, illness, whatever, RL can get boring. What makes LD great is that there is nothing like that to hold you back. So I don't have money, anyone to go to China with, and I can't speak the language, and I am not sure if it's safe. So I can 'go to China' in a lucid dream and 'experience' it that way.

When you are awake and aware, how long does it take you to get bored?

Truly when there is no urge to go anywhere from the present moment, there is no boredom.

With much less distraction in dreams, it is also much easier to go into the moment, and in turn, going into the moment eliminates distraction and increases lucidity(awareness).
      Boredom doesn't become a factor.

You merely have to change your point of view slightly, and then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.

i think the way you have worded your post makes it seem like having the opportunity to constantly have a choice in what you do in your lucids is a bad thing. I like many other see it as a great thing. To be able to do whatever the hell you want any time. Also if u were to become 'the guru' of lucid dreams, it wouldbe like creating a whole world and re-visiting it, but changing whatever you want and keeping whatever you want.

I cannot see how it could be a negative thing..but hey thats just my 2 cents!

How sad. My dreams and my reality are (usually) both quite exciting... but that's just me

anyway, I think if you go about it right it can last a long time. If you do what dreamglimpse mentioned and just go all out within the first few lucids its not going to last long. But if you kind of let the dream take you where it will but still be lucid and exercise control over your own actions rather than the world around you (not the entire time, of course. There would be nothing wrong with using lucid powers every now and then) you can have some pretty amazing experiences. Seriously, you could make friends, revisit the same place often, have so many adventures, it would be awesome. It's really a matter of how you choose to control the dream. You can make it a short term thing and just have your little fun with your dream powers or you can make it long term.
