Sleeping with an Eye Mask on causes me to have it on in my lucid dream

and it SUCKS cause I can't take it off!!!!! I have to feel mu way around, or keep my head on an angle peeking in through the bottom for what i'm doing.. obv i cant enjoy my dreams to the best of my ability this way.. and I also nap alot so it gets bright as i'm sleeping.

      anyone experiences this?

ps - i believe it helps me achieve lucidity because the moment i try to take it off and it wont come off I get lucid. but its stuck !

You may want to try rephrasing your question, a lot of people are not going to answer it because it's so difficult to understand.

You're basically saying "I have to sleep with an eye mask on because I nap a lot and it gets bright while I'm sleeping. When I wear the facemask, it ends up on in my lucid dreams, and I can't take it off because it gets stuck and I can't see anything, I have to feel my way around or keep my head at an angle to peek through the bottom.", right?

When you become lucid, ignore the face mask. Paying attention to it will let it "exist" in the dream to keep distracting you. Instead, try to ignore it, and realize that you don't actually see with your eyes in a lucid dream anyway, so it shouldn't be keeping you from dreaming. Imagine that it is made out of a see-through material, or ask someone in the dream to turn on the lights or imagine the sun rising, and see if that makes the visual component of the dream materialize. I haven't really had a lot of experience in getting vision to return because I've rarely lost it. It's only happened twice to me. I know other members have some stuff they can share though.

Just try to remember: your eyes don't exist, and you don't need them to see. Because neither the eyemask or your eyes exist, nothing can keep you from 'seeing'. In fact, your head doesn't even exist. So you shouldn't waste your time tilting it, either!

I agree with Shift. What I would try to do is to replicate some scenario where the mask could "come off" or become useless- say, feeling your way to a bucket of warm water, and dunking your head in- upon pulling it out, you might find the mask has dissolved or fallen off. Or you could find a dark tunnel and crawl into it, you might find some light at the end, and realize you have reached the end of the tunnel and the mask was never there. Do you see what I mean?

Why don't you try and transfer "yourself" into another dream characters body? That might work. Or you could come out of your body and duplicate yourself or something. It's a lucid, your options are infinite

I suggest trying to see through the eye mask. I use that when I can't get my eye lids to open in my LDs.

Or another way to solve it, if you're up to a challenge, is to simply ignore the mask. Don't think about the fact that you can't see or any of that. Just pour you attention into the input you are getting. If you can actually stick with ignoring it I can pretty much garuntee it will dissapear on its own. Plus you don't waste any LD time trying to deal with the problem. You just get on with the LD and ignore it.
