Problems falling asleep and 4 legs.

Hi, I have 2 questions for you guys.

      1:
I have problems falling asleep at night. Everytime I do a WBTB or try to FILD I lay there for over an hour before falling asleep. By then I'm obviously not trying to FILD anymore. Normally I can fall asleep quite quick but since I've started training for LD's it takes me longer.

      2:
During one of my sleepless encounters last night I got this weird feeling. I had done a WBTB and read some posts on DV for 15 minutes, done a lot of reality checks, you know the deal. Well anyway, while I was lying there it felt like I pulled my knees up so my legs were in a < instead of a |. Then I realized I hadn't moved my legs at all. It just felt as if I had 4 legs for a second. If anyone can explain this to me I would be thankfull

They say that dreams are only real as long as they last. Couldn't you say the same thing about life?

This is the part you were in a dream So WBTB worked for you. Next time you felt something like that, either try to get up from bed or visualize a dream scene since you are already in a dream.

      Oh really?

I thought I was still awake and I didn't dare to move anymore since I thought that would wake me up even further..

Thanks I'll keep that in mind the next time

Yeah but with 4 legs I mean it felt like I pullled my knees in but I could still feel my legs lying on my bed in the same position.

Anyway I do think it was a near lucid, if I only had done a reality check.

During my first wild attempt I got to a point where I felt like my limbs were all bent out of shape. I assumed this was part of the onset of SP.

If i'd jumped out of bed at this point, would I have been dreaming?

"I assumed this was part of the onset of SP." It is. When it happens try to imagine that you are floating. Then you'll find you are. After that, try to get a visual. When you get the floating feeling you will already be in a dream.
