Thread: What is your stupidest missed lucid opportunity?

By far, my most embarrassing gaffe. I'm still smarting from that one.

Last night. I was talking about how I wished I was lucid in more dreams. D=

After a WBTB/MILD I dreamt of going downstairs and telling my brother I'm doing a WBTB to help my chances of lucid dreaming. :/

The time I was teaching Morpheous from Matrix how to LD. In a cemetry.

I was wishing that I was lucid so that I could go do fun stuff.

Every time something really bad happens I look around and think to myself,"Wait. This is a dream, it's not that big of a deal right?"
Then I just forget about it and go along with the dream like it was real

There was this one time on an aircraft carrier during a meteor shower...

One dream I had, I was at the curb saying goodbye to a couple in a car. As they pulled away the women mentioned how she was going to try for another LD when she got home. I thought to myself "Wow, I wish I knew she was into LDing"!

Also, I've often had deams where I knew it was a dream but didn't become lucid.

was looking at a digital clock, speaking to a few DCs who were standing behind me, and said" now if this were a lucid dream we would be able to change the numbers on this clock at will."

Last night i dreamt and the whole dream people were trying to convince me I was lucid and I was trying to convince them I wasnt and I even flew aswell :S

I had an argument with someone that was lucid, and eventually I agreed that I was just stoned.


I was actually dreaming, for the record.

probably picking up people by their feet and slamming them into walls/buildings because i always somehow believe that i can do this in real life.

probably last night, i realized i was in a dream and took off flying into the dark but i forgot to "ground" myself in the dream and it was over in seconds. im pissed off

My 1st lucid dream. I'm not sure it's good enough, but when I discovered I was dreaming I immediately got distracted by a dc who asked me if I like egg-pudding, and then I woke up.

Yeah, amazing what not-having-logic times can add to your joke arsenal.

While dreaming i was walking with a close friend then i started to rub my hands together, he asked me what i was doing and i told him i was trying to stabilize my dream he replied with "oh alright, that makes sense" and then we just kept walking and talking like a normal day.

Dexter was hosting a reality TV show for people dreaming. Th whole point was that we were in a dream. He tried to WILD but moved on to some other dream from there and lost Lucidity quickly. D'oh!

I ounce was at the beach and my dad was the life gaurd (he is SOOOO not certified) and i said "am i dreaming?" he said "NO WAY!" i believed him and went on...

Heck Just last night I had the perfict oppertunity and my favorite reality check failed.

One time i looked at my watch, looked away and looked back and the time changed, but i just assumed i was holding it upside down!
That was really annoying.

Mine was yesterday. I had an exam and saw an old friend there whom I haven't seen in years. That night I went to sleep normally but kept waking up and going back to sleep abruptly.

The last time I slept I dreamed of playing soccer with this old friend in a place which was brought down a few years ago, and I knew that in the dream. He then tripped and fell down on his neck. His neck broke and it became loosely attached to his body and it looked disgusting, but he was like, "I'll fix it later, I just want to play now", and he kept on playing with a broken neck!!!!!

That made me furious because I never had an LD before.

I know, it usually takes missed LD experiences before the dream mind can manage to understand that impossible events must be concluded as dreaming.

wouldnt an LD meen you know your dreaming? so that WOULD have been an LD. Ld is different from controling your dreams..corect me if im wrong..
