Thread: What is your stupidest missed lucid opportunity?

Just last night I had a dream where I noticed something odd that happened. Nothing that couldn't happen in real life, but it was still odd. I mentioned it to my brother and jokingly asked if this was a dream. He replied, "yeah." I looked at my hand and it was normal so I told him "No. No it isn't." He said, "Yes it is!" I refused to believe him because I thought he was just messing with me since he knows I'm into lucid dreaming.

That was the first time the hand RC failed for me, and it was the first dream I had that I really needed a RC to definitively say it was in a dream. The dream just felt so real. I felt so stupid when I woke up.

So what is your stupidest missed lucid opportunity?

By far, my most embarrassing gaffe. I'm still smarting from that one.

Last night. I was talking about how I wished I was lucid in more dreams. D=

After a WBTB/MILD I dreamt of going downstairs and telling my brother I'm doing a WBTB to help my chances of lucid dreaming. :/

The time I was teaching Morpheous from Matrix how to LD. In a cemetry.

I was wishing that I was lucid so that I could go do fun stuff.

Every time something really bad happens I look around and think to myself,"Wait. This is a dream, it's not that big of a deal right?"
Then I just forget about it and go along with the dream like it was real

There was this one time on an aircraft carrier during a meteor shower...

One dream I had, I was at the curb saying goodbye to a couple in a car. As they pulled away the women mentioned how she was going to try for another LD when she got home. I thought to myself "Wow, I wish I knew she was into LDing"!

Also, I've often had deams where I knew it was a dream but didn't become lucid.

was looking at a digital clock, speaking to a few DCs who were standing behind me, and said" now if this were a lucid dream we would be able to change the numbers on this clock at will."

Last night i dreamt and the whole dream people were trying to convince me I was lucid and I was trying to convince them I wasnt and I even flew aswell :S

I dreamed that there was this place in Florida that you could go there, and do anything, like a lucid dream. You could change the landscape, fly, and make things happen. In my dream, when I described it to a friend, I was like, "It's almost like lucid dreaming, except real!"
I had so many strange dreams last night, and a TON of things could've been indicators. Like magic brownies that gave you the abilities to do anything you want.

lol i had a dream where i was in my school gymnasuim (not even the same gym) and my math teacher told us that the sun was coming close to the earth and it would get very hot. so i went to a bus to grab my geometry kit, and then after, i asked him if this blazing heat was permanent, and he said yes.

i was not lucid lmfao

I have yet to have a lucid dream, but I am giving it my best (I am very new at this). Last night I was dreaming I was talking to a girl about lucid dreaming. She was drunk, yet she had lucid dreams all the time. I wondered how she could have them without trying while I was putting in such effort. I was telling her how interested I am in lucid dreaming, and how I am trying to acheive one.

haha. I had a dream that we were in a classroom learning math, but we were watching a movie about a monkey not being able to pee... lol???

i couldn't believe i didn't realize that it was a dream when i woke up.

I'm gonna count this as a missed opportunity:

I was swimming in a pool, and then I realized that I was breathing underwater. I said, "I'm dreaming!" So I got out of the pool and I told the people that were next to the pool that I was dreaming and they were like, "Yeah, that's not cool." So I forgot I was dreaming.

I dreamed I was on holiday on a sunny beach and did not realise I was dreaming during the dream. When I woke up I was a little irked to say the least, it was snowing outside!

ARggh just this night !

I had 3 toes on my foot, and so did someone else beside me.

I then counted them with my fingers and then I had 24 toes!!

Suddendly there were ham wrapped around my toes! So they could heal my toes back to normal or something!
