      Trouble sleeping

I am new to this site, but I have a question. I have been having a problem with being too active in my dreams. I am very consciously aware of, and am able to control what I am doing in my dreams, every night. However, when I wake up in the morning, I am exhausted, as I feel I haven't slept at all. I have tried going to bed earlier, etc. and nothing seems to be working.

Anybody know how to shut your mind off??

Lol, how often each day do you sleep. Also, are they at the same time every day. It could also have to do with how hard you work during the day and what you eat.

You could try taking melatonin for a while. Just like 3 micrograms at night about twenty minutes before going to bed. It's really cheap and really safe as far as anyone knows so far. Melatonin helps me sleep a really solid 8 hours straight. I usually remember my dreams but have never been able to become lucid after taking it. I think some people can become lucid after taking it though, so it might not work for keeping you unconscious in your dreams. I'm somewhat of an insomniac. Melatonin helps me if I am already a little tired, but not if I have insomnia. Unfortunately the best solution I've found for that is weed. But I don't really recommend it for that purpose as it is rather habit forming and sometimes nearly impossible to sleep well if you quit. Other than that, lots of exercise and hydrate yourself during the day with lots of fluids - but not during the night as much because you could wake up a bunch of times to have to go to the bathroom. A regular, healthy diet always helps too.

      hmmm

Well I duno.. I will rant though

I understand what you feel, you wake up and your body feels rested, but "you" are tired.

You could try melatonin, it effects people differntly though, for me it only intensifies my dreams and so it does not help me just fall into a blissful unsonsiousness...

people say that if you dont want to dream then you wont... all you have to do is not want to dream lucidly and you dont.. yeah well that dosent quite work for me =/

I ave found being sloshed on alchohol helps, you just pass the hell out and dont remember and you feel like you actually got some sleep, but now you might have a hangover.

In your dreams... try to sleep... rest there, meditate, i know its odd soudning.. but its the only thing I have found that helps ease the constant consiousness.

Well, meditation is the key to all things to do with the body. The only thing is, is that it takes many many years of patience.

The only time I get that worn out in the morning feeling is when I stay up too long. If I stay up 24 hours then sleep for 10 I will not feel rested in the morning.

:yumdumdoodledum: :yumdumdoodledum: Welcome to our forum! :yumdumdoodledum: :yumdumdoodledum:

Try the melatonin! Excess alcohol also works, but you end up feeling even worse in the morning!

Find something to make you relaxed, and to CUT DOWN THE FRICKIN STRESS, i know thats putting it very general and subjective...
      some like meditation, like me.
Theres other activities such as YOGA(sounds gay to some people but it really knocks off the stress)
if your rich you could also do Acupuncture or go to a Massouse
