If all that crap started to happen...

I do not think I would not be one of the few that would vanish.
I know I will be here through the troubled times.

It was told to me by an older woman, that I would see the end times, and that my sword would finaly have a use. mind you that this was NOT in the dream world, this was here. It was an odd experience, she is a devout religious woman, we spoke, at length, at first i was nervous, but I told her how I feel about life and existance and gods and such, and she accepted it! I thought she was going to say I was gona burn in hell, but she didnt! She thought seemed to think I had a purpose for good, that I had been around a long while, even though she did not beleive in reincarnation? It was kinda surreal.


First and formost.
I would protect those that I love, and my friends.

I do not fully understand the whole rapture thing, and the tribulations.
I do not know if I would be marked, I do not beleive I am evil, I know whos side I am on, but if I was marked, for some reason I would probably have to go have a chat with whoever marked me, and it probably would not go well in their favor... Seraphim, Devil or God, it dosent matter... And I would not be cutting my own head off to clear the mark from me, thats crap, I have stuff to do, people to protect especially during those insane times.

Like I said though, I dont think I will be marked, I feel too drawn to the light, I have tried to find balance, but even that dosent work, I still lean to the one side. If walking in the light, wanting to protect those I love, make people happy, experiencing life to its fullest and worshiping all of existance is bad, then so be it...

If on off the chance I was one of those taken in the beginning, I would come back... dont tell me I cant do that, either, you dont even know the half of how stubborn/insane/stupid I am, even god would have to see that coming from me, thats why I dont expect it to happen. I have too much to do here, and if my life is going to be intervened on that high a level I am just going to have to start bending and breaking rules, hell its what I have been trained to do in my dreams.

I would go insane, become lucid, probably get myself into alot of trouble...but then again that has been the motive of my life.

I personally dont beleive any of this is going to happen. But as you can see if it does, I know my path.

I am much more for humanity finaly getting its act together, call me an optimist.

With life there is hope.

(disclaimer) seri is not trying to piss anyone off regarding their beleifs, I was asked and this is how I feel.

I guess I did start having a litle anxiety attack, I get like that when I think too hard, I just needed to sleep on it, put things back into perspective, I meditated and turned off my internal dialog, I am getting good at it now, and just was. I feel much more relaxed, It dosent worry me, hell little does, I just want to understand it, if I cannot, so be it then... I will figure it out when I least expect it.

I'm always up for a good ass-kicking. I know whose side I'm on as well, and I have no wish to be marked, by good or by evil. I'm sure the god-essense knows who its true followers are. We don't need a marking to show what's in our hearts.

every 1 who is left behind, will be forced by man to try and get the mark. I think somwhere it says that some how the equation will work out to be 666, but whatever.

Point = the seven years after the missing have been taken, when he is told to return, a great judging will be done and any 1 who has the mark of the beast upon him will not be aloud past the pearly gates.

the mark could be any thing from a chip planted benath the skin that every1 uses to get things like groccires and pay bills. Any 1 who refuses to take this chip will be proscuted for this.

well any way, even if this is true, at least every 1 knows there safe to the words been spread to every last person.

And then everyone is forced to be marked... Forced, meaning against their will... So satan/the devil would be ruler of the world... the cat is out of the bag, gods do exist, yadah yadah yadah... you see where I am going with this?

And if the mark is soem stupid chip that is forced under my skin I know a certain knife that will be taking it right back out.
I think it will be something much worse than some silly chip.

This whole rapture thing sounds like a story that may have happened long ago, or may happen in the distant future..

One ring to to rule them all and in the darkness bind them.
Now that... would be something to mark humanity as damned.

There will be good people left behind, and they will fight, I will be with them. If all this is to come to pass, that will be my purpose.

General wisdom says you're screwed if you accept the mark. This implies that you'll have to accept it by choice, correct? But you'll need it for business transactions. I think?

That's just what I've managed to piece together from watching Left Behind and 3:00AM religious programming.

OK , time to stir the pot again. I've had numerous discussions with a friend about this.

He believes that the rapture and tribulation all culminated around 70A.D. with the destruction of the temple and the scattering of Isreal. If you read the book of revelations, these conclusions can be drawn. You can search for 'Preterist' if you would like to know more.

He believes that all things manifest in the spirit first and that when enough people come to believe them that they materialize in the physical realm.
So, He thinks the kingdom of heaven is now on earth in the spiritual realm and will soon materialize physically.

He believes that death has also been repealed and will soon be a reality.

Therefore, millions of people will not be disappearing from the earth, the second coming has already occurred, and there will be no further tribulation.

I don't know if I agree with him, but he makes good arguments. Me, I'm on my own journey and have my own beliefs and faith. If the rapture has already occurred, it doesn't affect me. If it does occur, I'll be leaving. If it NEVER occurs, or if I am granted knowledge that heaven does not exist and that my actions incure no penalties, will continue to live my life exactly as I do now.

True honor and virtue is in doing that which is right with no thought of compensation or reward!

I'm tending to lean towards the tribulation happening in 70AD the more I read about it. It's too bad that many Christians (and others) swallow a lot of end-times teaching without studying up on it. I tend not to argue too much about this because I haven't done enough study on it to come to a conclusion. I know that there are two or three views that are seen as valid, but the one you mentioned above seems a little out there... Is your friend Christian? Anyway, I think that a lot of "pop" rapture theology and the left behind books are a litlle wack. There's a book out (can't remember the author off-hand) called "End Times Madness" that offers other views besides the "dispensationalist" view whic takes a combination of prophesies from Old and New Testaments and swirls them together..

Yeah, I agree, it's out there, that's why I have trouble with it.

On the other hand, if it did all happen in 70AD, then all of the last chapter of Revelation must be entirely symbolic...

Actually, the tribulation is covered in the book of Daniel... That's where the dispensational viewpoint gets confusing... There's a lot of mix and matching going on that doesn't compute unless the 70 weeks of Daniel were referring to the destruction of Jerusalem by Rome in 70 AD. I think too many people get caught up in all the drama of the symbolism in Revelation and in Daniel (and other prophetic books that refer to the "end times"). I don't think that the last chapter is symbolic... Maybe some, but not all. I definitely believe it hasn't happened yet!

Now, I am walking the walk and not worrying too much about end-times. It's all about walking in faith and the witness you provide to others!

Yeah. I don't worry about it so much. Every generation since Jesus' resurrection believed that he was coming back in their lifetime, so I think this points to the fact that we should not be fixated on the when, where, etc. (like some people are ) It makes for good fiction material (i.e. the Left Behind books...), but can be really distracting from more important things.

Remember '88 Reasons why Jesus is coming back in 1988'?
That little book caused a stir!
