Smile 1st lucid dream (in a while)

Well, it has been a while since I have had and remembered a lucid dream longer than a few seconds. Usually, all I get is the realization that I'm dreaming, then take off and start flying, then I remember nothing else. The other night, I came home on break from college, and was up rather late, probably 4, 5am. I was laying in bed, just thinking waiting to fall asleep, but as I was thinking, somehow I realized that I was dreaming. I'm not sure how it came to me that I was asleep now and not awake, because I was in the same location and position that I was when I was awake. So basically, I must have been tired enough to fall asleep directly into this dream. Now, I made something appear in front of me coming down the stairs from upstairs. I don't remember what it was, but I do remember it was not moving, and that it turned into something startling - so I made it disappear and told myself to keep calm so that I could remain in the dream. So here I am, dreaming, and lucid, remembering about a post on DreamViews talking about throwing fireballs (I think it was on here), I decided to give it a try. I picked up my arms and put them in front of me like Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat about to freeze somebody and took aim at my target. I remember how strange it felt to raise the arms of my dream body, and I remember hoping that I didn't move my real arms and wake myself up - I guess that I didn't, because of how strange it felt and due to sleep paralysis. I don't remember what I aimed to throw the fireball at, just something random in the room I guess. So I tried to throw the fireball - nothing came out of my hands. However, the object that I aimed at burnt up to a crisp instantly. That is all I can remember about the dream as of right now at least. Anyone have a more successful way to throw fireballs? I guess I just didn't think hard enough. I have only fallen asleep directly into a lucid dream probably twice before, I feel it is the best way to do it, versus hoping to notice that you are dreaming an hour or so after you fall asleep. Thanks for reading, leave any comments you want below.

Do not try and bend the spoon--that's impossible. Instead only try and realize the truth...there is no spoon. Then you will see that it is not the spoon that bends

      it is only yourself
