So I've been sleeping way too much lately (if there is such a thing) and have had a lot of time to practice my techniques concerning WILDs.
The first night in a week where I had more than 1 LD a night I achieved the dream by screwing up. I had laid still for a long time with no results and found myself accidentally falling asleep way before sleep paralysis. That night I did my first ever reality check in a dream and realized I was dreaming and took control. The epitome of LDing. This was only my 4th ever intentional LD and for the next 6 nights I achieved at least one LD every night.
For some of the LDs, I went consciously into the dream like a real WILD and some I fell asleep before the dream began and woke up in the dream later after trying to WILD but falling asleep before it was achieved. I speculated, and I guese this is pretty obvious but just a lil different than an actual WILD, that if you can get your body to fall asleep before your mind you can have non-lucid dreams that still have a factor of lucidity in them that might make you a bit more conscious of the dream. This might be all that is needed for you to do a reality check or realize that your dream is a bit wacky. This is what happened to me a few times. Now I know the bitty about your body falling asleep before your mind sounds stupid because everyone knows this is a basic step needed for a WILD. I mean however that for me this happened after I was mentally asleep. Does this make sense?
Since then I never seem to put too much emphasis on trying to WILD because I know that if I do fall asleep by accident before the WILD, there's a good chance I'll realize I'm dreaming soon after I fall asleep.
I am no expert by any means. This has however worked for me almost every night I've tried it. Is this actually a method? I have ADD so I never really really read the tutorials in depth so this might be described somewhere else.
Does this happen to others?
