      Diet and dreaming

I've discovered that there's a very strong connection between diet and dreaming/lucid dreaming.

After moving to college my diet changed dramatically, and I kinda forgot to take vitamins and B6 in particular. Guess what ? my dream recall turned into virtually nothing, fuzzy images recalled once a week or so.

At first I thought it was caused by change in inviroment and stress, yet NO!. It turns out that the change in diet and particulary lack of important vitamins caused me to have virtually no dream recall.

My theory is pretty far fetched, but it's irrelevent here. Right now I've realized my mistake and started to take B6/vitamins again. -> and now I recall up to 7 dreams a night again!

Main point is: if you cannot or have trouble recalling dreams, try taking multivitamin supplements during the day and about 10 mg b6 before bedtime. As a result you will be able to recall dreams...

B6 helps your blood carry oxygen, in this case to your brain(also has an effect on nerves). Which is why not getting enough might not be a good thing. Everyone eats a lot of meat or cereal though so that normally isn't a problem.

By the way you only need about 2mg of B6 a day. So if you can't have dreams without taking it, chances are stuff like stress are keeping you from dreaming but the vitamins over ride that and allow you to dream anyway.

Vitamin B6 is also the precursor to serotonin and melatonin production.

Also, you said that you had just moved to College. I wouldn't necessarily lay all the blame of the lack of dream recall on your diet as you may have went through a lot of changes and now have a lot more responsibilities. These responsibilities and new schedules will affect your dreaming as well as your dream recall. You may be used to waking up to an alarm clock and immediately thinking what you have to do that day rather than what you just dreamed. I know how hard it is to concentrate on my dreams when I am in a busy schedule.

It's a balanced mix of both things to get good dream recall. Eat all the right "sleeping foods" you wish, if you can't concentrate or you are distracted too often from your dreams, chances of dream recall are significantly low.

      What do you think...?

      What's on octo-lavo vegetarian?
Well it does seem a bit ironical, where we bless and make claims to the power of our minds in regard to ND's and LD's, yet physically we are only as good as the food we eat, yes?

it means that you dont eat meat but you can eat eggs and milk. the reasoning behind it is you dont need to kill a cow for milk or kill a chicken for eggs.

I don't eat anymore. Because i'm not living with parents, i have no money or my mom doesn't cook for me...so i don't eat...and i rarely dream anymore.
