The thing is motivation. Make mental notes to always write in your journal first thing. For in the mornings or something, you could put a note on your door of you REALLY can't get yourself to remember. As for getting yourself to actually write in the middle of the night, I always had trouble until I actually thought of why I was doing it. You shouldn't be writing a dream journal just to do it, or as habbit. That won't help you very much, do it because you WANT to remember your dreams, you ENJOY it.
I had to get myself into the mindset of doing it because I actually wanted too. Once I was there, it was no problem to get myself up. Sometimes if you find that hard to do, you just need to find inspiration. I found some really cool LD'ing tapes on youtube that completely re-tought me everything about LD'ing. Though I knew most of it, it re-inspired me and even tought me a few new things that ended up with LD's a few nights in a row! (Which NEVER happens to me. I usually average 1 LD per month.) (there are like 10 beginner and 10 advanced. I watched them all for the heck of it, and it helped greatly)
