If you have a shared dreamed with another girl, and the dream is as real as reality, and you have sex with her, is that cheating? I mean, what's the difference from real sex and dream sex, if the experience feels real or even more real?

If you did have LD sex, why not just not tell her? LD's are all in your head, there is no way anyone else will ever know what happened within your dream unless you tell them.

However to answer the question no, have you ever thought about boinking another female? Or ask your girlfriend if she has ever thought about doing it with another guy. She will most likely say yes, if she says no I am willing to bet that there is a 90% chance she is lying. There is some movie star, or really hot guy she knows of that she thinks or has thought about about sleeping with. Trust me it is human nature to have these thoughts. Well all LDing is, is thoughts with images and sensations, but they are nothing more then thoughts produced by your brain. If she has a problem with that, she needs help IMO. No offense, but it is just a dream...

I guess it depends on whether you feel guilty or not afterwards.

The person is in your head, so really it's just a type of fantasizing, so no, not cheating. Even if it's a real person, e.g. someone you know or a celebrity, she's still being imagined by you, you're putting the words in her mouth and so on, and she would likely say and do differently in real life. Hopefully.

I think it's okay to explore your ideas and thoughts inside your own head, as long as you don't intend to do anything about it in the real world.

I've been thinking about this, too. I agree with you, she should not be jealous. However, I doubt that telling her to get a grip will actually help; her jealousy is most likely just a symptom of the real problem, and that's what should be addressed. The OP, I think, should ask his girlfriend why she thinks it's cheating. Of course, she might not want to say and she probably doesn't know herself; a lot of these things are unconscious or repressed.

Maybe she simply needs some assurance; maybe she's not feeling secure in the relationship and is afraid that her boyfriend will meet someone better. Maybe she just needs to know that her boyfriend is treating it only as fantasy and not something he'd ever do in real life. Maybe she had sex with someone else in her own dreams and feels incredibly guilty. Hell, maybe she had a traumatic childhood and could have any kind of issues. Who knows?

I suggest you guys have a talk. I think you, OP, have already taken the first step by respecting her feelings about it. That's cool.

If you don't feel that way, then you're not. It's a manifestation of your own mind, therefore, you aren't physically cheating on her..

But if you DO feel like you're cheating on her/sneaking around with your dream lover.. Then you're basically mind cheating on her for a reason, which you need to work out for yourself. =]

Edit: She could also feel like this for one reason:
If you told her how real lucid dreaming feels.. And she knows you have lucid sex.. She probably feels like you're too much of a coward to do what you really want to do in real life, so you do it in your dreams. Or maybe she feels like that if you don't care about having sex with some lady that feels real, that you wouldn't mind doing it with someone real, in real life.
The fact that there is another woman in the situation, real or not, probably bothers her.

Would it bother you, if she was having lucid sex with some major hottie?



To be honest, I don't know if I'd consider it cheating or not. Really. Because it's all in your mind... Yet it feels SO real, that it's almost kind of hard to draw the line. But I know if I were in love with someone, I wouldn't be dreaming about sex with someone else.

I agree 100% with jeff honestly.

If she feels like that, well you need to get away from her. Shes just going to cause you problems.

Males need by nature to have sex with multiple people. However, since we want to stay faithful to one person, we have porn and lucid sex dreams to help us get through it.

I'm just being a bit funny of course but serious too. No relationship ever works out unless you have sex with more then just one person.

Also id like to point out, just because you have sex with someone else, doesn't mean you love them or want to be with them.

Id only agree with your female, if you were falling in love with the girls in your lucid dreams, not paying attention to her no more, and just trying to lucid dream to have sex with those other girls again. If that happens, okay then that's a bit of a problem.

Otherwise id have to say having lucid sex is healthy and if she tells you that she doesn't want you to do it anymore, you should really break up with her and find someone else.
