I don't know, usually I find my inhibitions lowered a lot, like I'm more likely to do things I'd be too shy to do in real life, even if I don't know it's a dream.

The thing is, your dreams work off your expectations, your imagination comes into reality right before your eyes. So if you imagine yourself doing something in a dream, usually you actually do it at the same time you imagine it happening, whereas in real life you would maybe think twice about it.

For example last night I remember flirting with a girl and as she walked by I brushed against her waste ever so gently, something I imagine doing to hot girls all the time but would never actually do to a stranger. She was into it though, makes me want to rethink my approach.

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.

I can only draw from my own experiences, and in my experience there is indeed a distinct difference. In a dream, when you imagine yourself doing something, it's done. In real life, you still have to do it, and can tell yourself not to.

I suppose it depends on the DC. If you know the person in real life really well, your sub conscious might be able to replicate their behavior well enough that you wouldn't notice the difference.

      "I feel my heart glow
with enthusiasm which elevates me to heaven; for nothing contributes so much to tranquillise the mind as a steady purpose--a point
on which the soul may fix its intellectual eye."

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It varies. And if you expect or consciously direct them to behave otherwise, they usually will. For the most part people I know in RL will behave with my morals or to act out my goals in the dream, but with my perception of their personality (unless a huge part of their personality is that they have very different morals or goals). Meaning, they're usually very helpful and selfless, but true to what I think their personalities are otherwise (if there's a difference).

      At least in my experience.
