Dream or imagination? Also, WILD breath counting

So, i got up at 6, i ate breakfast i went back to bed by 6:45-7:00. I Decided to try a WILD. So i was busy counting my breath. Now, when it comes down counting breaths, sometimes i find myself visualizing numbers flying into me (just like at IMAX 3D!) and sometimes as i breath out i sort of pronounce the number, without really saying it? for example "six" would be one consistent breath, and 7 would be still one breath, but i move my mouth a tad to make it sound like a two syllable breath... This is ridiculously hard to describe and i just hope someone understands what i mean. Is either way right? is there a different way to do it?

So to the imagination question. Where does one draw the line between dream sights and imagination visuals? I visualized a friend of mine while still managing to keep count of my breaths, and he was standing in front of me speaking, when suddenly i heard his voice in my head saying my name, but then it was gone, and i kept on counting. Eventually i fell asleep normally (rats!) But was that some kind of dream scape that i woke up from because the voice startled me, or just some good imagination. Is there some kind of obvious threshold between Dreaming and Visual Imagination?

In my experience, visualizing, imagination, dreaming, are all the same thing, just different degrees. When you dream, your imagination goes all out.
