Not that it really matters that I classify but...

In last nights dream I was able to gain control of my dream after recieveing a kiss on my cheek from my husband when he got home from work (he works nights). He kissed me in real-life but I didn't actually wake up but I was aware that he was home and that I had been dreaming.

So just for fun, would you consider this a DILD or WILD or some other thing??

You were aware you had been dreaming? Or you were still in a dream and realized you were dreaming? If the latter, a DILD. If the former, not a lucid dream.

I was dreaming but must have thought it was real, and his kiss made me aware that I was in a dream, but it didn't actually wake me up. That realization allowed me to decide what was going to happen, and so I took control. After the kiss, I was actually aware of even different things he was doing arround me (like being on the computer, making something to eat), even though my dream continued and I never opened my eyes until my dream was over. Once it was I woke up and thanked him for letting me change my bad dream to a happy ending =)

I would say that is a DILD, though you didn't become aware because of something that happened in your dream, so I may be wrong.

Well technically it would be an EILD (externally induced lucid dream), which is like a subtype of a DILD (you were still already in a dream when you became lucid)

EILD it is. You must have been in light REM if you could feel him kiss you.

I doubt I go beyond light REM ever then. Since my kids usually end up in bed with me, I am usually pretty aware of where they are and what they are doing, so I don't roll over onto them and so I can help them back to sleep if they wake...
I remember a time I heard my son fart while dreaming and wondered why I had bothered to even register that?
