And...woah.
Basically, I tried using the brainwave generator, with the pattern of frequencies used in the tutorials here. Anyway, I also did a relaxation technique that I read about earlier, from Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming. I ended up pretty relaxed, and did a variation on MILD, to try and remember to do a reality check during my dreams.
Well, unfortunately, probably down to the fact that the headphones weren't hugely comfortable, I couldn't get to sleep. So, for quite a while, I just lay there on my back, staying in this really relaxed state that I'd got into, and MILDing.
I'm not sure if it was during the MILDing, or after I started letting my thoughts wander, but I then realized I could see my ceiling (Same coolour, same light, but in slightly different positions than I'd expect from where I was lying), in full light, even though it was dark, and I had my eyes closed. Then I experienced what I can only guess was hypnagogic imagery, and I got really excited. It was like my heart was beating really fast, and every time I breathed in, I shuddered a little all over. Unfortunately I think I got over-excited and lost it.
But yeah, I think I was getting into the start of how a WILD would go. Which was pretty weird, but cool, even though I just wanted to sleep!
Anyway, I'm going back to bed soon, I'm still a bit tired, and I want to try WBTB, seeing as unfortunately, I didn't manage to recall any dream when I woke up at 7.10. I think I most have got to sleep between 2.30, and 3.00.
So, does it sound anything like the beginning of how a WILD would go?
