      hand RC harder to use

Right, I know this is all my subconsciousness, however- when I just started LD-ing all I had to do was look at my hand once and It would be severely deformed in one way or another, however as I progressed with my oneironautical endeavors it got much harder to spot anything wrong. For instance if I just look at it now in a dream everything is normal with it, so I have to look away and back at it and perhaps count the fingers to make sure and even then I have to mostly rely on my intuition to realize I'm dreaming. How do I make my subconsciousness make my hand deformed again?

I would just try using a different RC all together. I used to pinch my nose and try breathing....eventually that didn't work as much, so I started trying to fly or use telekinesis. Just try to have something else up your sleeve if the hand thing doesn't work.

that's the thing- it does work, just barely atm. Any way I can "repair" it?

you need to get rid of any doubt about the RC. Doubt is what limits ourselves in dreams.

Lets say you're in a lucid, and you try a scene change, but in doing so, you wake up. And the next time you try it, the same thing happens. Your mind builds doubt, and sets rules. To where you may think, "the next time I try a scene change, I'll wake up."

Just try to tell yourself that it'll work....better yet, you have to KNOW that it'll work. A lot of it has to do with confidence. Eliminate doubt, and focus on success.

This has happened to me, I use the (push hand through other hand) RC and sometimes it doesn't work at first. Sometimes it fails the first time, then I try again and it actually hurts as my hand gets pushed through but it works.

Just don't doubt it or be at all nervous, focus!

I know a lot of RC's fail, which is why two is a good way to make sure they don't.

Welcome to my world, yuri. You've read my journal! IMHO, the answer to your question is no. Sure your hands may look funny again on the odd occasion, but the point is, the test is now unreliable and therefore useless. The exact same thing happened to me so I moved on to the nose pinch test and eventually my brain learned to simulate the feeling of not being able to breathe (it took approximately 6,000 RCs but it eventually figured it out).

The good news is, digital numbers are reliably unreliable! So, get yourself a digital watch and you'll be set. That's what I did and I'm right back into the swing of having LDs. My friend who has been LDing for 20 years assures me that digital numbers will always act crazy in dreams. So far he seems to be right. I've gotten lucid heaps from rolling numbers. Let me know how you go hun.
