      Simple grammar change... big results.

Ok, for those of you who have been using meditation as a method of attaining lucidity, check this out...

And for those of you who aren't, check this out...

When I meditated I used to repeat the mantra "Is this a dream?" or "I will know I'm dreaming" or "I will become lucid."

I've noticed better results with "I am dreaming." Perhaps when my brain is in the process of consolidating my day's events and phonetic occurances, it takes a direct translation. So I say "I am dreaming," and when I am in the dream my brain affirms "I am dreaming," rather than "Is this a dream?" (which leaves the statement vulnerable to refutation) or "I will become lucid" (which professes intent for future events rather than current ones).

      Thoughts?

Yeah, this may have been gone over in the past, but... whatever...
An idea is something you haven't fully considered.
A belief is merely a repetitive thought.
A conclusion is simply where you stopped thinking.

its always a good idea to try and tell your subcon what is or is going to happen, rather than ask it and let it trick you anyway

      I have some thoughts...

Hey I'm new, but I do have a comment. When you say something in the present, "I am dreaming" this makes perfect since, so long as you don't say that when you accidently wake up in reality. Anyway. I have a suggestion. It has been shown that instead of saying "I" (talking to yourself in 1st person) is actually less as effective as using "You" (talking to yourself in 2nd person) this is because the subconsious mind reacts better if you speak to it (yourself) directly. So in final review... Perhaps you should revise it and say "(your name here), you are dreaming" or simply "you are dreaming" etc. Just my thoughts.

The human mind has far greater potential than society has conditioned you to believe.
