usually i don't stress anyways its extremely random day and night witch is good becouse it entertains me

im just asking for you me and anyone like this to do little research and figure out if anyone else has these ''crazyness'' patterns that have something to do with why we might see lucid dreams easier than others

Yea I'm kinda like that too. I constantly daydream and such and end up having very vivid dreams,(when I remember them.) But the problem for me is that my dreams are normally very strange. In a sense they are vividly abstract if that makes any kind of sense. They have always been this way which makes me think my brain is accustomed to strange thoughts in my dreams which keeps me from using dream signs to become lucid.

I don't know how young you are, but you might choose a career in the arts like film or something.

Yes, I think I know what you are talking about. I love to 'fantasize' and I've made music videos in my head even before there was such a thing. I'm old enough to be alive BEFORE MTV.

I'll have to start making a record, a paper journal note not music, to know if I have these periods of what you call craziness, but I do have a lot of thoughts and they make me feel good and creative and like if I get into something new the thoughts just seem to overpower me like I couldn't stop thinking about Harry Potter films after seeing them for the first time a few months ago and the characters would appear quite vividly and easily and spontaneously in my dreams. Now it is hard to dream about anything I want.

I think it has something to do with having a creative mind, that is why I am an artist.

I do know that I have to be highly motivated for my dreams to be realistic or even a bit like I want them to be. I get depressed ALOT.

Also, I don't know if this means anything or if it is just me, but don't get a treadmill if you want to dream. I noticed a severe lack of inspiration and dream content and recall after getting a treadmill and using it.

The treadmill almost acts like some form of walking meditiation and makes me feel calm and quiets my depression, but it seems to take everything away and make me very zombi-ish. I am only now just coming back from a week long daze and I fear it might last forever.

      :-)

or if i get into that school hmm they take only 17 students in a year

The reason might be because you, me, and the other people who replied are probably much more visual than non-lucid dreamers, so we probably spend more time observing real life and then take those observations with us when we dream and notice that the dream isn't real life because it doesn't match our "real world" observations right. We also may pay more attention to our dreams

i have noticed that im a lot more visual than many of my friends

      YES!!!
We artistic types are more prone to vivid dreaming.

Lady Grimbones : I'm sure you will find a way to deal with your depression. Cool too meet other artists here, the key to life is too work hard at what you love doing. Would love to see some of your work.

12g951ad : I have done a course in games / animation. There a couple of good colleges here in Australia... have you considered going overseas to study?

      Peace,

      FunK

I'm on hiatus from Deviant Art and trying to build a webpage and hoping to join some professional societies that have galleries online and once I got something to show I'll let you know. I might start a 'dream journal sketchbook' here like another artist and I'll let you know. PM me and share a link to your art, I'd like to view it.
