      I always been curious

Does anybody have any links to any articles/youtube about what happens to the brain during lucid dreams?

Also I heard that dreams help sort and store important memories but I'm always been unsure of whether or not conscious control can interfere with this.

      Here

I didn't read the whole of it but I read something about the brain during lucid dreaming. You might have to search the page.

The truth is that nobody really knows for sure.

Memory storage is an important part of REM sleep, scientists have deduced this by waking people up when they are entering REM. As far as we know, being lucid does not stop this process.

If you want to know more, look up REM dreaming. Your question is VERY broad and I can't give you any good answer. You could spend a university education answering that first question. You might not even understand quite a bit of the stuff you look up about REM without basic psych knowledge. A good place to start would be the DV homepage though. Start there.
