      acetycholine causes of dreaming

I have been doing some reading and have found out that acetycholine in the cerebral cortex is resposible for dreaming.
Apparently when you dreamn your acetycholine receptors in the cerebral cortex fire ridiculously rapidly and this causes dreaming.
Any drug that increases acetycholine like ginko,DMAE,Vinpocitine,Huperzine A etc will cause an increase in REM sleep.
Also acetycholine blocking drugs (anti-cholinergics) like amiltriptaline or cognetin reduce REM sleep.
I ordered a package off the internet that had all of the above drugs in and I started taking them and I ended up dreaming about 3 times as much but you shouldnt take too many of these drugs. Stupidly I took a larger dose of all these drugs then I should of and mixed them with GHB (another acetycholine increasing drug) and I started to dream whilst I was awake. I had closed eye visuals that got pretty severe and I couldnt sleep because before I would drop off I would start to dream. Also the longer I stayed up the worse it got as when you stay up for long periods of time your acetycholine also goes up.
I ended up going to hospital with my closed eye visuals spiraling out of control getting closer and closer to dreaming 100% whilst awake. Luckly I dropped of after 35 hours being up. Had I taken more of these drugs or not slept for much longer I would of been totally dreaming whilst awake. So any monsters chasing me etc would be 100% real in front of me for days in a nightmare that I would never awaken from. I was so scared I was ready to kill myself incase it got that bad.
So if using these drugs dont over do it!!! Also when you increase your rem sleep with these drugs you lower you deep sleep and dont get as much rest. I now have perminently high acetcholine from overdoing it that wont go down and I dream almost all night and 8 hours sleep to me is like 4 hours. Be warned!

Yay herbs and other natural stuff..

I can't say I really approve of Ginkgo Biloba or Dimethylaminoethanol (DMAE) really effect dreaming significantly as their effects on the CNS are questionable. Acetylcholine is responsible for the activation of dreams and the stimulation of the cortex, but it may not be the sole neurotransmitter involved in the dreaming process. Other neurotransmitters play a very intergral part in the neurophysiology of dreaming such as (especially) adenosine and other MAOs.

All the drugs you mentioned are released to the public to help early effects of Alzheimers and attempting to use them for increased dreams almost seems abusive to me.. I say go for it and experiment, but be reasonable..
