if you can focus enough, then you can make them last longer, ive practiced so when i have one, its usually lucid and usually at least 2-3 mins long, which is pretty long when your dreaming. yay for wet dreams

Many people are able to stay in a lucid dream while engaging in dream sex. For those who wake up, it's not known why, and despite a large number of ideas there is no actual evidence or real answer to this question yet. Do you really believe that you can instantly orgasm, feel pain, taste, hear sounds, touch various dream textures, but that your brain can't provide you with an orgasm emulation only when you're engaging in sex? While there is no answer yet, this one likely isn't it. What ever you want to do, it's your lucid dream. Keep in mind, it is a wet dream. That is why I stay away from it. Actually, from what I've read most lucid sex dreams do not appear to actually be wet dreams. Actually, during REM sleep often times increased blood flow will cause you to HAVE an erection. So yes- there is a very high chance that you will have an erection during REM regardless of what you are dreaming about (think morning wood) and whether or not you are lucid, but you probably will not be ejaculating even if you dream about sex.

His argument earlier was that the reason people wake up from lucid sex dreams is because your brain is trying too hard to think up sensations for you, and if he's a virgin and never experienced sex, it would only be harder. However, the mind is very good at improvising and would likely make you feel the sensation you thought you would feel during sex anyway, so I don't think that would be a problem.

The full arsenal and power of your subconscious constructing one of the most horrifying dream scenerios imaginable, calling it a jail and locking you in it? I've seen what the mind can do in Dream~World and sometimes it can be pretty terrifying.

According to Stephen Laberge; he claims that his dream-astronauts (students in the art of lucid Dreaming) could have sex in a lucid dream and have an orgasm without waking up - it doesn't involve wet pants in the real world and by looking at brainwave-readouts it seems as if the dream-orgasm is just as satisfying as a "real-world-orgasm". I have it from the his book "Exploring the world of Lucid Dreaming" which I can recommend for just about anyone on this site.

I am not saying YOU are abnormal. Just this occurrence. I don't really know if this would be considered a physical condition or not. I guess if it happens in school, you would want to stop it. Perhaps you were moving around in your dream. Sleep paralysis allows some movement at times.
