      trigger a recall

before I came here, I would either remember my dream as soon as I got out of bed, or I would see or hear something that day that would jog my memory of my dream. It sorta feels like De-ja-vu.... And sometimes De-Ja-vu... I can't tell if it's a dream recall, or just that strage feeling. Anyone else find things that help trigger a recall?

Oh, that happens to me all of the time.
Ex: I had a dream about a horse, saw a donkey on the TV the next morning, looked like a horse = instant dream recall.

Yep - this morning my wife dreamt of our house being burgled
When she told me, it sparked a dream of mine where it was about theft...

A single word usually does it for me.
My friend said he saw a skunk on my school campus, immediately triggered recall of a dream where I bought a pet skunk.

Hmm, mine work sort of differently. Occasionally I will remember dreams from words or seeing things, but often from feelings/emotions. Most of the time though they don't even have an apparent reason for popping into my head. Perhaps in connection with other thoughts?

I've noticed though, that I remember a lot of dreams when I lie down to bed at night. Maybe it's because I'm in the same position that I was in when I was sleeping before? And that feeling is connected enough with the dreams to pull them into my conciousness?

      Cheers,
      Dylan
