      What was this?

This morning, I woke up to my alarm clock, and the wretched thing woke me up from a very sweet dream. I thought "NO!" and started conjuring back images and the "continuation" of the dream while trying to fall asleep.

I ended up falling back asleep, and continuing the dream from where I left off.

My question is this, what did I do? What is the term for this? WBTB?

Can I also use this to become lucid?

Yeah! That sounds pretty close to a DEILD to me. This can definitaly be used to induce a lucid dream. You just have to be aware that you will be dreaming, and that you want to lucid dream.

It may take a little bit of practice at first, but you should get it down in no time! Good luck LDing!

Yeah if you were lucid, then it was a DEILD (Dream-Exit-Induced-Lucid-Dream) and if not lucid, it was the exact same thing except minus all lucid bits... just plain old dream reentry.

I used to do this a lot when I was younger and didn't have to get up so early. Like Shift said, unless you were lucid then it was just dream re-entry.

If you are able to do this at will, then you would definately be good at MILD, which is pretty much based on dream re-entry.
