A feeling when I close my eyes

Ok, so I tried to do a WBTB, which failed because I didn't realize that my Light wouldn't turn on so I didn't become lucid, and when I woke up I tried to go back to sleep. I couldn't but every time I was close I felt like I was being sucked into the dream world, like when I closed my eyes I went through the normal blackness that you see but my eyes were pushing forward. Hard to explain.

I couldn't keep this feeling going longer than maybe 20 seconds at most because my body was shaking like I was scared and it did an involuntary gulp.
This has happened before, and I am able to keep myself calm when the lights start to suck me in, but my body is still frightened.

It felt kind of cool, Was wondering what it was.

This sounds to me like hypnogogic hallucianations but i could be wrong.

I think these apear during the slip between wakefullness and dreaming.
can anyone else elaborate on this?

That is what I was thinking.

If you learn to control the images does it help to form a dream you want, or is it just there?
