      Lucid dreaming but Lazy journaler

Just getting back into LDing. Did a couple of reality checks last night before sleep. Then had a full blown, extended LD after RTing my digital watch (after running through an estate dodging bullets), which ended at 8:30am. There were a number of scene changes and various meetings, some dream-reality adjustment ("Yes, I can fly and climb like a spider if I want).

Thing is, I woke up, I recalled it, but couldn't be arsed to journal it. THis is a motivation/valuing issue that I'm checking in, I guess.

You don't have to journal it. As long as you take the time to remember then it should be okay.

However, writing in a journal has its advantages. Journaling allows you to analysis your dreams at a later date, check for dream signs and more details surface when you write them down.

      Its your call.

I agree with mrdeano. Though a dream journal isn't necessary it sure is useful, and it makes recollection a whole lot easier(for me).

I get pretty lazy with it as well, but I try to journal - there's nothing like being unable to recall a lucid

i didnt write down my dream in my journal two nights ago cause i was being lazy and i am so mad at myself right now cause i cant remember much at all about my dream except it was really good.
So i learned my lesson and suggest keeping a journal! (and not being lazy)

Well to get you used to journaling you could just write down keywords and when you read those keywords, hopefully you can remember the dream in full detail by recollecting the images again since you didn't write the full dream down.

I feel like journaling is a good habit is it keeps my focus on LDing

I really don't think a DJ is necessary. I never use one and I have only been at this for a couple months but I always seem to easily forget non lucid dreams but I can remember almost all my lucid dreams in great detail just by trying to remember them. It may just be me. but I don't have much experiance in this you should probably listen to some of the more experianced dreamers

DJing is optional....it really depends on what kind of lucid dreamer you are. If you are the detailed/factual lucid dreamer then DJing will add a complete story of what happened like a report and you read it like a book to relive the moment. Like for me I'm a emotional lucid dreamer...my DJ is the way I felt and the bits of the dream that made me feel good. So I don't keep a physical DJ but I keep an emotional one and remember it through emotions and that will trigger images/memory from the dream.
