      I see now. But damn, it took quite a while for me to understand you! Ok now it makes sense.

      I wonder if NREM-sleep can be lucid, however, so that it wouldn't be necessary to be limited by a REM-cycle length. It's usually such a bunch of self-repetitive BS that I can only picture lucidity in NREM as a total change of the NREM-nature. NREM often consists of uncontrollably thinking self-repetitive thoughts that don't really make sense, such an activity would be stopped by lucidity I'm sure.
