      Talking?

For as long as I can remember, every time im laying down to go to sleep i hear noises of random people in my life saying the randomest things. i also get weird thoughts like, just random random stuff. And the weird part is i don't realize my mind is creating these thoughts or sounds until after I hear them. Im not schizophrenic or anything I believe it may just happen because im falling into a dream but Id like to ask if anyone else experiences this?

Yeah I get that sometimes. I get images sometimes with it too. I dunno what it is I guess its just the brain preparing for sleep or something.

I rarely get images. But yeah.
Thanks for replying, anyone else get this?

On the "Tetris effect" from the wiki article Shift linked,
This can also occur to people who have travelled on a small boat in rough seas, or swum in waves, shortly before going to bed, and they "feel" the waves as they drift to sleep
Feeling like i'm rocking slowly back and forth has been a common phenomenon after coming home from a good swim in the ocean. This effect also occurs in between sleep cycles for me, and isn't limited to the feeling of waves pushing and pulling, but happens after experiencing a stimulus for a long period of time. A long day of biking or watching a particular martial arts series makes me feel like I'm moving in ways similar to those of the activity being perceived. I do not, however, experience visual or auditory hallucinations. I wonder what that must be like for you.

      mmm adaptation <3

Forgot to mention that I also hear strange voices sometimes, most often though I'll get strange photograph-like hallucinations of random things. The other night I kept seeing different houses like I was flipping through a slideshow or something. My somatosensory hallucinations are usually things like the buzzing, sinking, or a weird rolling/pitching forward feeling.

I also get hynogogic hallucinations occasionally while slipping into sleep-- the audio ones are usually indecipherable fragments of female voices talking or laughing. Once I heard my mother's voice calling my name (must have hallucinated it, since she lives several hundred miles away). I've also heard a loud slamming door or exploding sound.

The visual ones are typically very vivid, static images, like the varied textures of a rock wall that I can examine slowly and carefully. I tend to appreciate the "artistic" qualities of these images and they create a profound contemplative mood.
