      How come i can always only remember the last parts of my dreams?

      if i have an hour long dream. i can only remember the last few minutes. is this normal? is there a way for me to remember all of it?

      yeah, that's pretty normal... you might try reviewing the dream backwards - something you remember from near the end could remind you of something that happened just before that, and so on.

      also, it helps to review what you did during the day in the same fashion before going to bed - this develops the recall habit you want to have. i like to stop once in a while during the day to do this memory check, too.

      yeah just work on your dream recall- keep a dream journal, and lye still when you wake up and recall your dream
      TAKE DV members advice with caution! some have had zero or 1-2 LD's yet act like gurus

      Try going backwards/working on your dream recall, as the others said. Ask yourself, "What did I do before that/how did I get there?"

      Dream memories fade very quickly. I've also found working backwards helps, whether I was lucid or not.

      Laberge reccomends that if you have an amazing lucid experience you may want to deliberately wake yourself to ensure you recall it as vividly as possible.

      The fuzzy dream memories are perfectly natural. I have strong doubts about those compelled to claim crystal clear memories of lucid dreams.
