Problems falling asleep, need some help.

I want to get into lucid dreaming. I've actually had afew lucid dreams before, however, I'm horrible at dream-recalling. I know you have your REM sleep patterns at certain times during your sleep, and you're supposed to wake up during those certain times to get good at recalling your dreams.

My problem is that whenver I go to bed, I usually lay in bed anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour and a half or two before actually falling asleep, regardless of how tired I am. I just lay down and think to myself about things usually.

So what works really well for falling asleep?

Depending on your sleeping position sleeping can vary on the frame of mind your in also. On my back, thinking usually occupies my mind, the fetal positionalways brings upon the drowzy stage of sleep.

If you just let your mind wonder, it almost like switching off the thoughts and letting the subcon take control, hat helps get me to sleep.
Otherwise im not sure what will work. But i do know, that the more you think of wanting to dream that night and stuff, the more awake your conscience is.
      n00bs i love you

i wish i could answer your question mate. I also have a really bad time getting to sleep at night, it takes me ages to relax before i can get close,
also i feel funny at that stage before feeling alseep, as i can feel myself sliping i have to wake up quicky becasue i get scared of that in-between stage.
When your alone at night, this brings out all the stress of the day "had an arugument with my mum" "i hate work etc" Sounds like what i told the doctor,
the best thing to do is make your body tired, like do exersise a few hours before sleeping. Eat healthy natural foods during the day, make sure your bed is the centre of relaxation, dont eat after 8o'clock, drink lots of water etc Its different for everyone else, but these im sure play a part in it.

Good luck in finding your sleep

The internet must have some cool information that can help.

Remembering dreams is difficult, but finding your natural REM cycle again will help you to remember more (I THINK)
"I was looking back to see if you were looking back at me to see me looking back at you".
