      Can anyone explain this?

Right, so I was lying in bed on my side trying to get to sleep, and had my eyes close and I was really relaxed, then I got that vibrating feeling (like Astral Projection) and then I opened my eyes, and then I started thinking of something, and I was in a kitchen with these 2 girls and their family, and then we went upstairs, and I remember going up with them, then I woke up

Anyway, a few seconds later, I closed my eyes, and the same thing happened, but this time I was stood in the doorway with these 2 girls, and it was like...it felt like real life, like SO real, but I felt like if I opened my eyes I'd snap out of it (my eyes were open in the (dream?) obviously), but I couldn't make it exactly like it was real life and I could do what I wanted. I could control what happened, but it still didn't feel completely real. It was definitely more than me just thinking of it though, it was so much more real than that.

yeah dude you had an accidental WILD- the sensations you experienced prior to the dream are known as "Hypnagogic Hallucinations" - you basically experienced your body falling asleep. Happens every night most people loose consciousness by then though. Lucid dreamers use this method to have lucid dreams - seems you've had your first taste

TAKE DV members advice with caution! some have had zero or 1-2 LD's yet act like gurus
      TOTAL LD's (almost all DILD/MILD) =160!!

Sounds like vivid hypnogogia (the visions you get as you fall asleep)
Or perhaps a wake initiated lucid dream that hasn't completely formed yet.

I've had a lot of WILDs that start off half formed, either the visual aspect is grainy or too dark, or one of the sensory modes is missing. All it normally takes is waiting and getting involved more in the dream.
