The tutorial for RCs say I'm supposed to do RC during the day and try to feel as though I just became lucid. I have only had a couple VERY brief lucids in my life and have trouble understanding how it felt to become lucid. |

Well, if you can't remember or imagine lucid dreaming, it's not a big deal. Personally I don't have time or interest in make-believing I'm lucid dreaming during the day. If you have something specific you want to do in your lucid dream, you could imagine it. But the important thing is to do those RCs several times a day, keep a dream journal, and be patient. Study your dreams and find patterns of unrealistic things. For example, strange locations. Perhaps you find you're hardly anywhere familiar in your dreams. In RL, occasionally consider your surroundings. Is this a dream location or a real place? Then check your watch, etc. The methods are many, but can be simple. The persistence and patience is most important. |

Lucid dreams: Around 35
Longest lucid dream was something over one hour.
for who can know those distant stars? like a life we have not lived, within the twinkle. like a universe we've not known, so far away.
actually, I believe it's a good practice to do this- just as astronaughts train in swiming pools before actually going to space, so should oneironaughts train before LD-ing. It's very simple, before going to bed, imagine you are in a dream- you don't have to imagine you are doing something extraordinary, instead focus on controlling your emotions, like "ZOMG I'm dreaming what should I do what should I do??" is bad, "Oh, I'm dreaming, ok stabilizing... Now what were my dream goals" is good- practice till you are comfortable. You don't have to do it for long, even a minute or 2 should suffice |

TAKE DV members advice with caution! some have had zero or 1-2 LD's yet act like gurus
TOTAL LD's (almost all DILD/MILD) =160!!
new goals: have more LD's than Shift[X]
10-15min LD [ X] Article: A day in the life of an LD-er
the "Mind V.S. Body" Induction technique
Everyman 2 LD's/ sleep schedule progress
It's not so much the 'feel' but the mindframe and thought-processes that you want to have. For example, sit back right now, and YOU'RE DREAMING!!! pretend that you just realized you were dreaming. What would you do? How would you react? What stabilization techniques would you use? What goals would you attempt? How would you get out of the room/building you are in? How would you interact with the DCs you're finding around you? |
