      Question Re-entering a Dream?

I remember a few occurances in which i awoke, remembered a dream i had been having, and then was able to fall back a sleep and re-enter that dream. Is this a type of lucid dreaming? Or is it something altogether different? These instances happened a while back now and i don't remember if i began lucid dreaming or not once i re-entered my dream, but i thought there might be some connection considering the amount of control i was able to exert over my unconcious mind. Please let me know any thoughts you might have.
      Thanks!

      I tell you more:
everybody should do this everytime. Read it from the book that on my signature link

A practitioner must try to re-enter the phase after experiencing a foul. Always remember that a typical phase experience consists of several repeated entries and exits. Essentially, in most cases it is possible to re-enter the phase through the use of separation or phase state creation techniques immediately after returning to the body. If the practitioner has just left the phase, the brain is still close to it and appropriate techniques may be applied in order to continue the journey.

If you are lucid when you re-enter the dream, it's called a DEILD, or dream induced lucid dream. It's not something I know much about, but here's the tutorial:

Its dream exited and has nothing to do with this
I 're-entered' dream few times and that is no type of lucid unless you are aware that you entered it actually.

In which case, it is a DEILD.

      Nice contradiction there.

To answer the OPs questions in a more straightforward manner:

Your experience was not lucid dreaming. However, re-entering a dream is an important skill that can help in attaining lucidity. There are a variety of ways to take advantage of this skill. For instance, if you manage to maintain consciousness while re-entering the dream you just awoke from (I.E. a WILD, or more specifically a DEILD [if you don't move at all]), then that will give you a lucid. Alternatively, if you are unable to effectively WILD, you can set intentions to recognize that you are, indeed, back in the dream. If you're attentive, you'll be able to see the dream you've just re-entered for what it really is and, subsequently, become lucid
