      Dream Characters

      Hey all

I've managed to become lucid once or twice so far since I started trying (at least, that I can remember), and really enjoyed it.

But a questions been bugging me lately. Its pretty philosophical, but here it is: can a dream character in your dream become lucid within your dream? I really dont know where to start looking for an answer (let alone thinking about it).

      Any thoughts?

Do you mean this by thinking the dream character is a real person dreaming?

Welcome to Dv om, I hope you enjoy it here

As to your question If by lucid you mean that they can have control like you then yes, but they cannot be aware that they are dreaming because they are not. Dream characters are just people that you made up, they are not real so they are not dreaming.

you should also check out the tutorial section if you want to learn more about lucid dreaming. Happy dreaming!

What Sugarglider said. Although two real people in the same lucid dream would be pretty cool!

      Interesting,
In my experience, dream characters can become aware they exist in your dream, or that their world is a dream.
As a character, they are lucid, but they don't really have a conciousness...

Although sometimes they'll steer away from the question.
I know someone who asked them questions about if they would exist after they finished dreaming etc.

But if you mean a shared lucid dream, that would be insanely awesomely insane.

If dream character is aware that they are in a dream, it is just your sub-conscious trying to give you a tip. I have had many times when dream characters tell me I am dreaming and thus becoming lucid.
Jujutsu is the gentle art. It's the art where a small man is going to prove to you, no matter how strong you are, no matter how mad you get, that you're going to have to accept defeat. That's what jujutsu is.

Thanks Sugarglider11 and Johnny the Nameless, that helped a lot. Unelias, I've had that before too, thats pretty much what started the train of thought to my question.
