      Surrounding myself with lucid dreamers

I'd like to make an effort to surround myself with lucid dreamers. I know very few and rarely talk to anyone that is practicing it.

Reading topics on these forums doesn't seem to help. Not sure why that is. If I had to take a guess it's because they are less focused and the relationship, at least for me, is nonexistent.

I hope by talking with people more directly about random topics concerning lucid dreaming, I will be able to have them more frequently. I know that when I talked to my brother a lot about it, I had more of them. We don't talk a lot about it much anymore though. He is not quite an avid lucid dreamer or anything.

So, if you want to help me out you can email me at [email protected] or simply send me a private message.

If others want to try this, just post in this topic.

What's wrong with posting a lot at this forum? Isn't that equal to surrounding yourself with lucid dreamers?

I never said there is anything wrong with posting a lot on this forum. I just don't find it to be very helpful.

I have been on this forum for sometime now (this isn't my first account). I see a lot of the same topics floating around for a long time. I generally don't feel like I have anything to say about them anymore.

I also find it too impersonal. I might have lengthy discussions about a topic relating to lucid dreaming, but it leads me nowhere. The topic eventually dies, and I didn't really take anything from it.

I believe that if I make more personal contact with fellow lucid dreamers, I will be more interested. I will be able to make general discussions about anything, rather than make a new thread and watch it die like almost every thread tends to do.

This is sort of an experiment to see if talking about it frequently, like I used to with some people I knew IRL, will increase my chances of lucid dreaming. I hope I find luck in this. I have been having a lot of trouble with lucid dreaming for at least a year if not two now
