Getting back to LDing - Difficult

I´m getting back to LDing! I haven´t tried to LD since the summer holidays began. So it´s been 10 weeks. It feels like 10 months.

There is a problem. Or better, there are many problems.

First of all, my sleep pattern is messed. Really messed. I prolly could sleep all the way to 2 pm. But I´ve managed to get up after midday lately.

Second of all, my dream recall sucks. I can´t remember anything, unless I sleep very lightly for a couple of hours in the morning.

Third of all, I´m not "into" LDing right now. I´m not interested about it. I don´t feel that LDs are so special.

And lastly, I´ve lost my skills. I don´t do RCs automatically anymore. I cant have high quality LDs (I´ve had a couple spontaneous ones). And I just cant remember how a WILD is done.

Here´s my plan on getting back to LDing:

I´m not going to sleep tonight, and in the following evening I´ll go to sleep very early, so that my sleep pattern goes back to normal.
Starting from this moment *does a RC* I´ll do RCs every 5 minutes or so. I´ll do at least 3 RCs at a time. I´ll RC everytime something weird happens, too.
I´ll also constantly try to be aware whether I´m in a dream or not.
I´ll write down my dreams every morning.
And I will re-read some of my older WILD experiences, and I´ll also try to WILD every morning... And after posting this

That should do it. Any tips?

Well you're motivated, that's important, but even more important than motivation is maintaining that motivation. Keep your focus on why you are choosing to get back into LD'ing, let that be the fire that's under you. Good luck and sweet lucids.

Hey! I had a cool idea.

I should start my "new LD life" right now. I´ll start counting DILDs and WILDs from zero... I´ll forget my past and focus on the future

      Btw,
I´m not yet sure whether I´ll stay up the whole night or just wake up early, try to WILD and then wake up a little bit later.

      First Off,

It's good to see that you have chosen to start over. Just keep in mind that you don't want to get overly frustrated with yourself if you are not "keeping with it" as much as you should. Getting back into it is a process, it is like learning to walk again, but with minor experience.

I myself chose to get back into lucid dreaming again a few months back. I have improved on my dream recall and lucid dreams as of late. I will tell you that once you get back into it, and get the feel for it, it's like 2nd nature!

So I bid you good luck, and keep us posted on your improvements!

      Okay...

I went to sleep pretty early, at midnight. I set the alarm to 7:00 for WILD, but I dont remember anything about it.. I woke up naturally at 9:30 or something like that. I ate some breakfast, and then I went back to bed for WILD, but I failed. Then I laid down on the couch. I wasnt intending to WILD. After maybe 15-20 minutes I got up, and then I realized I had fallen asleep at some point, cause I saw this short dream. I knew that this was the time to WILD. So I tried once more, but I failed.

      Plan for tonight:

Go to sleep at midnight, set two alarms to 7am
Wake up at 7am, write down my dreams to my computer
Eat breakfast, think about the coming LD
Lay down on couch or bed
Count till I´m in an LD.

I´ll keep every damn brain cell focused on keeping aware when I WILD.

      I´m gonna make it!! Right??

      I know what you're saying...

Last year was so easy to me to have ld's and wild ld's...

After a time without LD'ing now it's too hard to have DILDs, MILDs and WILDs (to me it always was the easiest way to get lucid but now it's hard to do it)...

I'm thinking about don't get sleep for 2 days...I'll try to wild after 2 days without sleeping and i'll see what happen...

*When i'm deprivated of sleep and get back to sleep it's easy to wild

Kanious, I don´t recommend staying up for 2 nights. After one night I myself was absolutely toast. You dont even wanna know how crazy I was. One night max, in my opinion.

      ____

      YEAH!!

I discovered my own personal way to WILD! This is so cool! I had about 10 WILDs in a row! This is just amazing! The only prob is that the WILDs were really short and low level.

      The way I did it:

I went to sleep around 1-2am.
Then I woke up at 10am. (I did wake up at 8 too, but I failed then)
      Ate a bread for breakfast
At about 10:30 I went back to bed, feeling pretty tired.
After realizing I wasn´t sleepy enough, I decided to keep myself aware by clapping the matress with my palms.
Now this is the weird part. I think that I fell asleep, saw a short dream, woke up, then fell asleep again, but this time I understood that I´m dreaming. That caused me to wake up. But soon I was in a dream again. Then I woke up again. Then I visualized this dream scenery, and soon I was in it. This happened over and over again, I just kept visualizing a dream and soon I was in it, and then I woke up again.

If I only could stabilize those, I could easily have a WILD every morning. Yeah!

So my way to WILD is: Visualization after some relaxing physical activity.

to me it's not too hard 'cuz i was a cokehead [i wasn't addicted because i never felt "cravings" but i was dumb and snorted coke like a rat]...

But i don't need to stay still for 2 days now...I'm back to school, so i'm not sleeping too well
